I was gonna say, I'm unsure of what the PSX emulator scene was like when Cory was young, but you can play CD-ROMs on PSX emulators. This makes more sense than "strange unknown crash 2 PC bootleg." Idk how or why, but I actually grew up with emulators on the PC at my local library when I was young. I believe it was epsxe and project64, because I remember clicking on shortcuts for Paper Mario and some of the Megaman X games. That would've been the early 2000's though.

The mystery PC Crash Bandicoot game that Cory is talking about MIGHT be "M&M's The Lost Formulas" which was a reskined version of Crash Bandicoot 2 themed after M&M's candy and reworked to include educational elements such as math problems in-between platforming sections, which was released for PC in the year 2000. The following year The Lost Formulas was ported to PS1, with the math sections removed entirely, and retitled to "M&M's Shell Shocked". Knowing how Corey's brain works, I can believe he looked at an anthropomorphic M&M and confused it for Crash Bandicoot.

It was the Danny Phantom movie that showed Vlad in an alternate timeline where he adopted Danny since the Fentons died. By the time Danny finds him he’s a long fingernailed cave man hiding in the ruins of his lab. Also the bad guy winning is kind of the entire premise of Megamind.

I love Sonic cd, they intentionally make the past signs harder to find and make the way your supposed to get to them feel like a mini challenge. Once you get there it’s up to you to pay attention to the level structure, master the physics engine and get creative on how you route out your time travel.
