Given you didn’t have any Rock Salts in Chapter 10, you adapted well and got some pretty quick fights (the Ix Fight with Sonic’s Team in particular). Lot of respect. Well done 👍

I remember playing this when it came out, being apprehensive about it since it was very different than the sonic games I was used to at the time, then ending up really liking it as I played it. Its a shame it never got the sequel that the cliff hanger implied it would have gotten.

A new strat is refreshing. We tend to compensate character's stat, like Shadow's luck stat, but turn out we don't need it. 41:09 41:17 41:42 Oh, that's why you miss the second input! Self-repairing is annoying. Could have gained seconds if you choose Defend instead of Attack when the character has enough power for the final blow. 2:27:48 Wait... What? How?...

For 2:27:48, you only need to get Ix down to 800 (just like you only need to get Shadow down to 75 in his Chapter 4 fight)

I played this game when I was 12 and got stuck on the chapter 8 boss. About a week ago I picked up the game again, started a new save and finally beat it. It's really cool to see what strategies you use and how they differ from my playthrough. My go-to team was Sonic, Shade, Knuckles and Cream for a gpod chuck of the game.

If you ever do this again, there's a way to activate the cutscene glitch at 2:24:00 consistently: just walk into the console, in the direction Knuckles is already facing when you regain control of him. I've played this game more than I should have since it was my only video game for a while. I have stories to tell...

@@9k49 when you regain control of Knuckles, you're standing right in front of a giant computer thing, the very thing you had to interact with to drain the water on Sonic's end. Just walk right into it.

it has always been a mystery to me what causes enemies to suddenly be like way stronger i have no idea why but if you play well enough every enemy in the game has like twice as much hp as usual and gives more exp as well i think and they probably also deal more damage, i have never found anything on the internet that explains this mechanic, maybe you know? from my memory this seemed to always happen when i used the little green guy that makes it so you dont have to perform any action to do your pow moves and the game does it for you, maybe its based on how many perfects you get in a row, and if you have that dude it just skips it which counts as a perfect, that has been my theory in the past at least, i have no clue if its actually correct.

thats not possible in the early game unless you over level even then 1 turn isnt possible in most situations
