It all started in Unleashed, actually. Let me explain: In generations, Eggman had an entire armada in space already AND a giant machine that could not only drain ALL of the Chaos Emeralds' power, but was also enough to release a concentrated blast *FROM SPACE* that could shatter the entire earth and release Dark Gaia. Having the technology to do all of that from space was only the BEGINNING. By the end, although Eggmanland was likely annihilated from collapsing on itself after the last emerald was restored, *I doubt Eggman wouldn't have NOT saved the data from the original.* And the *more precious technology might have been stored in a safer place, such as the technology that was used to contain Gaia energy.* That would explain how he had the technology to not only get back up to space even though basically his entire space fleet was trashed in the prelude cutscene of Unleashed, *but he had the technology to make an elevator all the way up to space and sustain a survivable environment on the elevator AND the entire park, as well as the park's environment as he probably took from the original Eggmanland blueprints from Unleashed.* And as wisps contain immense amounts of energy such as Dark Gaia's, I bet he used the same or similar design of that used to contain Gaia's. From there, he would be thwarted for a long time after "Eggman's Intergalactic Amusement Park" is destroyed, left floating in space until he finds the Time Eater and goes to tame and bring it under his control and rope his younger/past self into his ultimate plot-- *Just in time for Sonic's 16th birthday.* After they lose, the Eggmen somehow get back to their worlds, and Ultra Sonic Galaxy *(Sonic Lost World)* happens, where Eggman once again tries to use a planet's energy for his own selfish gain. Fast forward a few years later, we have Forces and Mania, where they're SOMEHOW linked as they both seem to have a phantom ruby of sorts, and classic/mania is *"forced"* into this mess.

Eggman has done many bad things, but everyone can agree that he crosses the line in this game. Think about it, he would be more than willing to enslave and possibly destroy the wisps and their planet... all for power. The only other time he has crossed the line would be in Sonic Adventure (he tried to NUKE Station Square, possibly killing hundreds of thousands of people and it could've been lethal if Tails didn't stop him.) And in this game he showed us that he would be more than willing to destroy an entire planet of peaceful beings all for power. And I feel this remixed theme of Reach For The Stars, a already catchy theme to be taken to a over-hyped, over dramatic, and quite frankly desperate atmosphere is fitting. Even if this had nothing to do with saving Earth, Sonic would get involved simply because how f*cked up this is. This theme really represents how Eggman went from a animal abusing jerk to a genocidal, power-obsessed and a quite possible sociopath (he does victimize a WHOLE planet of wisps for his own goals.) I feel it also represents how genuinely shocked and angry Sonic is (he even states his disgust in the fight itself as some more evidence.) Eggman is a truly messes up individual, and the song really puts emphasis on that. Any sympathy people had for him is lost in this game. He even tried to f*cking hide the fact that he was using the wisps to Sonic and Tails. Truly. Truly messed up. Eggman will NOT be redeemed. Eggman has officially crossed the bridge to insanity and this song really makes us FEEL and see that.

I'm gonna be honest. This music marks the end of an era for me as a Sonic fan. Currently I'm 17, so I actually never grew up with a Genesis (But my first Sonic game was Mega Collection). However, I grew up with Sonic games from 2001-2010. So I grew up w/Stuff like Sonic X and Jason Griffin. I always heard from other people that "All Sonic games are Shit" But I'm always enjoyed to an extent every single Sonic game from that era. (Except for Secret Rings and 06) After my enjoyment of SatBK (which I actually went back to a few days ago!) I heard of Sonic Colors and was like, AWW SHIT SONN!!!! Then they showed off a Cutscene with the new voice cast. At first, I hated Roger's voice mostly because I was expecting Jason Griffin (Seriously, he NAILED Sonic down in Black Knight) But, I kept on being excited for the game. When it came out, I wanted to get it on release day (heck, I even pre-order it), but I got grounded. So after a month I picked up the game, enjoyed it so much that I 100% complete it. (I don't remember any memorable exchanges compared to the older game rather than the Stretching scene, Baldy McNosehair, and No Copyright Law line) But I especially enjoyed the GAMEPLAY, setpieces, and level design. After finishing Colors, I felt like I played a genuine old sonic game but new. Then Sonic Generations happened. Blew my f#ing mind. So, I was like, Alright, Sonic, you are in great hands now! Two great games in a row! And knew that it was time to grow up and take a passive interest to sonic. So I left with a smile on my face. ...... Then Sonic Lost World happened. An "Ech!" in the wrong direction. It was ok. *THEN SANIC DOOM:RISE OF LOSERS CAME OUT* .............. fuck.

Super Princess Luna ... Because rush, adventure and generations all did things very well to deserve it. Rush had fantastic 2d gameplay, adventure was a massive 3d world that still stayed true to the roots of the series, and generations had the merging of the two styles (Though I don't think it really needs a sequel, just a personal thing) Boom had TONS of glitches, characters with completely different personalities, gameplay that was different, which isn't necessarily bad, but it was done in the most boring way possible. The sense of speed was COMPLETELY absent, except for the high speed sections, which don't have enemies or anything, and are literally just hit left and right when an obstacle is in your way. The exploration is very difficult without the speed, and the combat is slow and can become a button masher at times. As for shattered crystal, since that's what the sequel is based off, they repeat ideas all the time. There are so may areas with the exact same obstacles as before. Even the soundtrack was flawed, with the music, which was meant to emphasize the size of the world, hardly ever matching what was happening. yes, it had a few good ideas, like the enderbeam, but the other concepts behind it resulted in not one but two fundamentally flawed games, which feel more like some other game with sonic's face slapped on it. Granted, it was meant to be a game off the tv show, but that doesn't excuse it. As for even more logic, most people that played boom, either one of them, didn't like it. This is basically making them do it again. If the sequel was meant for sales, they're not gonna get it, simply because of the previous ones' reception, whereas sequels for generations, rush, or adventure would likely sell very quickly due to their legacy. There's your logic. Sarcasm wasn't necessary by the way, just makes you sound like a jerk.

I dunno. It's hard to get more Iconic than W1-1. I mean, I bet if you sing the first couple of notes almost anyone could continue it. That said, the only other Mario song I can think of that DOESN'T use W1-1 as its leitmotif is Gusty Garden Galaxy; this makes the songs in the Sonic series much more consistently memorable.

The game returns this year as a full remaster, the bosses will be harder, the cutscenes will be more smooth and crisp at a solid 50fps and the level design backgrounds will be more futuristic and gleaming! I cannot wait to relive my childhood! This finale will have so much more of an epic meaning. It started with reach for the stars and it ends with the same song in an epic fashion!

This was by far my favorite sonic game ever. I loved it so much that I beat the boss about 100 times and memorized every part of it. Found all the secrets and it never got boring. Sadly it's been awhile since I played this game, but the hype was real and this boss fight was so epic that the end part kept me in aw for the first 10 times I played it. I look back at all the memories and remember how fun it was. Wish I would relive those memories. Thank you sega, for creating this game.
