I think Aquarium Park is based off traditional Japanese culture, hence why the enemies in this zone are wearing Shogun helmets, while Chun-Nan is based around China, but yeah, they're both similar.

This game is so nostalgic for me. I fell in love with the visuals the first time I saw a trailer for it when I watched cartoons at the weekend. I feel like this game gets its planets and visuals so right. The music feels like it fits the environments so perfectly, and I just love the style they went with when designing aquarium park and the main amusement park especially. Just the nighttime atmosphere and dark blue-green colours, along with the lighting, buildings and tropical nature of it all made me feel like I was exploring some classy or expensive resort. The only planet I didn’t really connect with was the asteroid coaster, but that is more my personal preference and I have never really been into that kind of green / brown visual style, which is often associated with horror thematics. It was still fun nonetheless. The music works, which is what’s important. The main park has an upbeat, action-like sound, the kind of thing we are used to seeing with these types of games, but has its own colourful style to it. The disco-like music of starlight carnival supplements the rainbow and glittery visuals nicely, with the electronic style. The brass instruments in the sweet mountain give it a factory / mechanical feel. It feels heavy and thick, like the cake and sugar that surrounds you throughout the levels. Planet wisp’s piano is slowly replaced with more heavy and “unnatural” sounding instruments, representing how the planet is becoming more of a factory, like sweet mountain. Aquarium park makes me feel of water rushing through tubes and fountains in an indoor water park at night. I don’t know how to explain it as I’m not that knowledgeable in the art of music but it just does for me. Asteroid coaster isn’t my favourite, but I can appreciate the rock style of music playing on the more edgy (gothic?), horror and radioactive planet. All on all, I love this game and it’s music. I may not play it now but it will always be my favourite sega title. Sorry if this took a while to read, I know few people will care but I just wanted to say something about one of my childhood games.

Eh, it was an alright Sonic game. Better than Secret Rings and probably Black Knight and Unleashed, but it wasn't AMAZING. It had a very good sound track, as every Sonic game. To be honest, it was kinda lacking in creative storyline, but it's a platformer, so it has an excuse. However, it was very short, and you can easily finish it in one sitting. Honestly, it wasn't my favourite, and the final boss was very boring, along with a lot of other bosses.

Megalovania did steal the show for me for a good.. like, 3 YEARS. But, last January, just before my birthday, Sonic came into my life. Now, I honestly don't know which to pick. Me from 2 years ago would be all like "UNDERTALE HAS THE BEST VIDEO GAME SOUNDTRACK IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD", while few months ago me would say something like "SONIC GAMES ARE THE BEST!! Act 1 Act 1 starts with Sonic slowly descending into the park and landing inside a winding tube that leads to the entrance of the park. A spectacular view of the oriental above-ground scenery Aquarium Park has to offer is displayed as Sonic blazes down a long path in Quick-Step mode through the aquatic town near the water. Throughout the stage, Sonic gains the opportunity to view the wonderful world under the sea by diving into large pools of water filled with all sorts of marine life, plants, and oriental structures. After crossing the ocean, Sonic lands on a slowly descending platform with Egg Pawns dropping from the sky. Afterward, Sonic must Quick-Step to avoid the large water capsules in his path and smash large metal crates into the rows of Egg Pawns blocking his way. Sonic is then lead to a small pool of water where the Goal Ring resides. The Cyan Laser, and more prominently, the Yellow Drill, are the Wisps found in this Act. Sonic must use their powers to reach new areas in the stage. Instead of being used for digging, the Yellow Drill is used underwater to transform Sonic into a rocketing torpedo.

Sonic Colors is AMAZING, I got it last year but just started playing it a few days ago (didn't work on my Wii system), and I'm so happy I did -- I love it so much! I listened to this music all the time, so now that I'm finally playing this game and got to Aquarium Park, I always play Act 1 'cause I love the music so much!
