Also, this is what I thought about your video: I really respect your opinion. You've made one of the best opinions/perspectives on Vs. Sonic.EXE RERUN that I've seen so far. you broke down each section, told what you only knew about it, and how you felt about it really, which I really like that you did that. While there were errors that you made in the video, I just wanted to clarify things, and that's it (This is what I had on the doc that was to clarify some things). My problem is when they make a good song suddenly they say something happened to like it being corrupt for the 1000th time and just remake the entire song but made it worse and when people say they don’t like it they just get so butthurt and use the same insult using the same god damn word “slop”. I agree with the scrimbo part, They just put in sonic.exe, changed the art style and give him a jawline and call it a different character. Like why not just use sonic.exe himself since the character has no difference?

Diablo is a UST RERUN (unofficial soundtrack) character. He’s not in the mod because he’s from a alternative universe take of rerun. But I see him more unique then Scrimbo. Since Scrimbo looks like sonic.exe but with a giga chad chin.

I hope you don’t take this as an attack on your or anything for your opinion, all I’m going to do is inform you about the mod and give you my reasons on why I think it’s good. Beginning info: Third Party, AKA Piracy’s song is in limbo at the moment, they haven’t decided whether to remake it to allow it to fit with the new vision of Rerun, or to keep it the same. The pro of keeping it the same is that it allows those who love the song be able to see it playable, the con of it is that it will suffer from being the weakest out of all the songs. Zalgo’s song is getting changed, and as someone who’s first Rerun song was Last Chance and was able to see it change, I think it’s a good thing considering how bad the old version of Last Chance was compared to the recent WIP. Characters: The roster of characters in the mod is this: Scrimbo, the mod’s version of Sonic.exe Stranger, Muto’s (the main artist of Rerun) exe Google Maps Sonic.exe Chimera, from the old Chinelin Sonic creepypasta Zalgo, from Sunshine.exe Ordinary ROM Hack Sonic Anti-Piracy Sonic Sonic Has Passed (Sonic, Eggman, and Somari) Tails Doll Secret History Tails Sunky.MPEG Majin Fleetway Super Sonic And Reroy, a goofy Tails Doll plush who’s the mascot of Rerun This is the main roster of characters and in my opinion, it’s a solid roster. There aren’t too many characters and there aren’t too few either. Rerun is going for a more “quality over quantity” approach, as the old version had way too many characters, which was one of the main reasons why VS Sonic.exe failed. Pendrive is not in the mod, they never were. 2017X is not allowed in the mod as the creator of 2017X isn’t on good terms with the devs. Bratwurst was in the old mod, but isn’t anymore. To answer why Scrimbo is the main antagonist of Sonic.exe Rerun.. maybe reread the title of the mod and tell me what you find. Sonic.NES was in the mod, but was replaced with Sonic Has Passed due to some controversy. Hyper Accurate, the angel looking Sonic isn’t in the mod due to the composer for Hyper Accurate’s song leaving the team. Diablo is not in the mod due to him being from a Rerun fan project called “Rerun UST.” UST stands for Unofficial Soundtrack, and Diablo is UST’s version of Scrimbo, so it wouldn’t make sense. Name: It’s called Rerun because for a long time, it was called Rerun. Sonic.exe Rerun was in development during VS Sonic.exe V2’s release, and it was made to be a “remix” mod of VS Sonic.exe. Changes happened and Sonic.exe Rerun became its own thing in 2023. The name stuck with them for so many years at this point that it would’ve been weird if they renamed the mod considering how iconic its name already is. Sonic Genesis and X Reclassified do sound like already existing mods, but like I said, it would be weird to change the mod’s name this late in the game, especially due to how it’s almost finished. The Story: Sonic.exe Rerun has no actual story, only the Scrimbo week, the freeplay stuff isn’t canon to the story. In Sonic.exe Rerun, it takes place after the original Sonic.exe game takes place. Now that I think of it, Sonic.exe Rerun makes sense for the story of the main week. The main week is a “rerun” of the events that happened in Sonic.exe, only with Boyfriend, Girlfriend, and Pico. Scrimbo doesn’t kill Boyfriend in this mod (hurray). He was originally, but the devs decided it would’ve been too lazy and boring to do so, so they made it so that Scrimbo uses the locks from the character select screen in the original Sonic.exe game to trap Boyfriend’s soul during Hide and Seek (the week’s first song). In Smoke and Mirrors, the week’s second song, Scrimbo also uses the locks to trap Girlfriend’s soul. In the final song of the week, Ashes to Ashes, Pico confronts Scrimbo, and from there you can get two endings; a good ending in which Pico defeats Scrimbo and frees Boyfriend and Girlfriend, or a bad ending in which Scrimbo traps Pico’s soul in with the others. Changing songs (oh boy): The songs aren’t changed due to the songs getting leaked. The songs are changed because the composers don’t feel happy with the current version, it’s their songs, they can do whatever they want. Last Chance’s most recent version does not suck, I’m sorry that is an objectively bad take, it sounds so much better compared to the four minute version. The reason why the mod is delayed is not found in the music department, it’s found in the art and programming department, art takes the most time out of anything, especially in a mod like Rerun. Ashes to Ashes is a song made by Longestsoloever and it’s different from your generic beep boop song, it’s an actual song with lyrics all the way through, due to this, the gameplay is going to consist of animations, and songs like Munchies is going to have a lot of animations for its gameplay. The art is what makes a mod take a long time, not changing the song. Conclusion: Rerun will not be released in October due to the programming not being finished. The devs said that Rerun will most likely release in early 2025, as they are certain they will finish the art assets this year and the programming won’t take too long to do. People still love and care for this mod as shown by the Rerun community server and people on Twitter. The mod’s development is going incredible as 90% of the songs are already done, and everything in the art department is going smoothly despite how one single artist did most of the art. I believe that when Rerun releases, it’s going to change how people will make their own Sonic.exe mods, they won’t go for the usual style of using genesis instruments for everything, but will open their eyes on having multiple genres for their songs and not give themselves too much work. Every song in Rerun is different, and almost all of the songs are made by one guy, Czer Rendon, who’s also the same guy who directs Rerun. At this point, the mod is not going to be canceled, they’ve spent actual money for this mod and it’s their passion project, they’ve stated many times that nothing, not even leaks will stop them from completing their passion. The devs will then move on to pursue their own goals after Rerun, leaving both the exe and fnf community. Sonic.exe Rerun is not your average Sonic.exe mod, it’s a passion project filled with love, care, and soul, made by talented people, this mod is their dream and it’s a goodbye letter to everyone in the exe and fnf community, so in my opinion, I believe that no matter what we think of this mod, we should at least appreciate it for what it is, and we should be happy that there are people who won’t give up on their dreams so easily.

Well I think I know the explanation of why the creators made these decisions and changes, the reason they scrapped many of the characters that was in the mod is because that they didn’t want to add so many OCs i hit or the owners of the ocs told them to scrap them, and the creators wanted add characters to give that nostalgia feeling of sonic horror, like MM or Hypno’s lullaby. Also, they didn’t add Diablo to be the main villain of the mod because Diablo is already the main villain for a fanmade project of rerun called “rerun: ust”. Diablo is a UST thing. They were never gonna be in Rerun. Also weird ya didn't mention the fact that LSE is working on a song for Rerun. Recently development is getting closer and closer to release as songs being finished or almost finished with the screenshots being shown that the files exist to be ready to be uploaded. Also a fun fact: Now with the OST being LOCKED IN idea wise, I believe there is a list showing every style of music that each song in Rerun follows.

The rest songs are non canon bonus unlockables 4:58 rerun devs remake their songs not because of leaks, they said numerous times that leaks doesn't affect them. They remake them to fit the new vision of the mod, to make them perfect. In fact, 9/16 songs are finished, alot of visuals are as well, and the closest release date is an early 2025

This mod has been greatly affected by the exe controversies, more than half of the initial roster was discarded due to all the controversy of the bans in gamebanana and at the request of the creators of the characters, that is why there is no recognized character, which It's a shame, as for constantly redoing the songs, I'm mixed, the truth is, except for hide n seek v5, I think all the new versions seem superior to me, but it's also a problem to constantly redo the mod only delays it, but It still has potential and could be one of the best fnf mods, in addition to the best exe mod along with the original and legacy

I would've pointed out the tons of misinformation littered throughout this video, but it seems like that has already been done by "guy on discord" and people in the comments So I'll just tell you why im excited for the mod, #1 songs I haven't heard every song, and very intentionally so. But from what I've heard, I am a fan of Nayus style. I do have some issues with it personally (but i also wasn't a fan of silly billy, i prefer subterfuge lyrics and darnell wet fart) #2 art I personally REALLY like muto's (main artist) style i think its very appealing and the fact that he reworks old and outdated art keeps it in my mind that i wil love how this mod will look. Just this month actually muto posted on twitter a screenshot of gf's new smoke and mirrors sprite, and said he redid every animation aswell, he told us jokingly, but its clear that he really cares for this project. #3 charts Kinda small but the charts look fun to me. #4 my personal bais/ other reasons Say what you wil about the rerun team (nayu) but it consists of a group of extremely talented individuals, and good firends. Nayu only just turned 16 and made stuff like Smoke and mirrors, Last chance and Top loader. Even if you hate those songs hes undeniably very talented for his age. Muto Man, if it wasn't for this guy, the mod already would've been canceled I swear. I've already said my piece on his art, but muto also took the whole mod under his wing and really brought it through hell and back even when he had every reason to drop it, and I respect the hell out of hin for it. Joey (musician/art and animator) I dont know very much about him honestly, but he and nayu are clearly great friends. Plus I do like his music too. Floombo (creator of garn47) This is a bit of an iffy one, but her stuff is still in the mod, (other than just being talented) they do have a good moral compass in my opinion, and truly does bring a good energy. Theres like so may other people, but you get the idea. At this point it's been nearly 3 years in development. Of course, I want this to succeed and come out. Im not even sure why I picked THIS mod to follow so closely for so long, but it might just be the story behind it all. And maybe because it's like an underdog type thing idk. Recently aswell though my interest in fnf and honestly ganes in general has started to dwindle, this might just be the last mod I'll play, (aside from hotline 024) Im not really a fan of base game in al honesty. I like it, but I felt more impacted by mods if anything. So maybe in my mind this is like the last act or something and there's just so much build up to this one momment. Sonic.exe was one of the first mods I came across, alongside mid fight masses. So it would be fitting to end on a sonic mod. Call it wishful thinking but from what I'm seeing it know I'm gonna love this mod I'm being very careful to not set my expectations high but its hard not too 😅 Anyway that's about it, no one might end up reading this, but it was fun just to write.

I think you might need to go out and look more into this mod. I’m also confused about how you feel with the roster, what would qualify a character as a character that is NEEDED to be in the mod? You repeatedly say “this character doesn’t need to be here” but why and what could change to make it seem like it’s a necessary character. Another thing is about the main villain, you say that other characters on the roster could’ve been the main villain but it doesn’t make sense when you take into consideration that this a SONIC EXE MOD. It would make more sense to have a character such as Scrimbo that is basically just 2011x (this according to the devs) to be the main character. And about the plot, why is it that we NEED to know what the plot is? Mario’s madness had a plot that we had no idea about until it released like most other mods. This makes the video just sound like a whole rant about how you just don’t like it with not much constructive criticism.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the amount of scrapped characters from this mod, but it is a VERY long list. Most of the characters were added as jokes and were only worked on for a day before being removed, and some of them were planned but never had any work done, but the Rerun Archive server has a grand total of 73 scrapped/unused characters (some of which were simply thoughts and had concepts but were never officially added). That is absolutely INSANE for any type of modding project. Not surprised that the mod is looking a little bleak with the clear confusion and amount of misdirection for where the mod was even going in the first place.

You're missing alloottta context for why some of these characters were rmoved, with most of them being owned by RightBurst_Ultra who is probably one of the most hated figures in the .EXE community and was removed from the mod. This includes: Satanos Sonic.NES Bootleg Hyper Accurate This is not even going over other .EXE's which the creators did not want in Rerun since the whole drama surrounding that aswell Lord X ( Creator didn't want him in the mod.) Needlemouse (Probably same reason since they had a problem with other mods including her in it.) Fatal Error (Getting his own mod.) RERUN (No idea but probably same reason.) and anyways most of the characters we still do have cover most of the bases and have a prominent history with "Creepy sonic shit" and alot of the stuff said in this video seems made mostly out of misinformation and lots of parts felt very nitpicky. (Though I do agree about the remastering thing, they should just find something and stick with it.)

The concept art for top loader literally has you dodging attacks like actually playing a sonic game midsong. Also the 3D animations. The usage of the original fnf week characters (spooky kids in stranger) (bf, gf, and pico in main week) there were also be a lot of events and midsong animations, and interesting mechanics. I'm pretty sure the character roster is the way that it is because the mod is celebrating older Sonic horror content, hence why characters like Lord X were (unfortunately, I still pray that he returns) cut from the mod. The mod is also supposed to be a different take on the Vs exe formula, to my knowledge, and not necessarily a reboot of Vs Sonic.exe mod. Btw Sonic.NES has been replaced with a version of Sonic called "Sonic has passed" from a video on Vinesauce's channel.

I would like to add on to my first point about the mod representing older sonic horror content and explain why Scrimbo is the main antagonist. To my understanding, Scrimbo seems to be a translation of the original Sonic.exe creepypasta into the mod and not something like a completely different take on the character’s lore like Xenophanes, Lord X, Sonic.EYX and what have you. His levels seems to reference and almost mirror the levels in the original creepypasta where you play as Tails, Knuckles and Eggman (but instead with BF, GF and Pico in that order). He’s planed to have three songs, two of which being “Hide & Seek” and “Smoke ‘n Mirrors”. Both of these names are immediate references, as Sonic.exe chases Tails in a level of the same name of the former, and when Knuckles faces off against him, exe teleports from place to place every time Knuckles strikes, before eventually killing him. This part might be a bit hazy with where I’m getting my information and could just be something unofficial, but in Scrimbo’s second song (S3 for short), there’s apparently a mechanic where Scrimbo makes clones of himself and the player has to guess which one is the real one. This is probably another nod to Knuckles vs Sonic.exe but only time will tell. Anyways, that’s all I know🤷‍♂️

And Top Loader V5, because of Rightburst drama on 2023, him worked on the mod too, but he was not progressing the mod and just talking shit on the team back (according to Muto), so when he leaved, they just scrapped Sonic.NES how form of "revenge".

All of the freeplay songs in Rerun are separate from the main story and do not affect the main story in the slightest. Mario Madness went for a more "Quantity over Quality" approach, while Rerun goes for a more "Quality over Quantity." Rerun is very different from Mario Madness in more ways than one.

Well, I think the mod is actually going to be good scrimbo is a pretty good character and is similar enough to the original sonic.exe from vs sonic.exe The roaster can be a bit mid but you can't denny that their songs and animations are sick as hell and the art style only makes them look cooler Idk why complaining about a mod name, also, the mod was a revival so it made sense to just name it RERUN and since it was ok as it was the name stayed the song chainging is only to make the mod more unique and be a fresh air from the other sonic.exe mods it's your opinion anyways, I'm not saying that you're wrong (except kinda from the name thingy but that's it) but you are defently missing a few points too
