Black Doom was absolutely amazing! The gags in this were pretty solid stuff, the rollercoasters, the Eggman job applications and Infinite's tolerance for the job reaching its breaking point. If nothing else this proves that Black Doom needs to be in more Sonic games.

Honestly Black Doom should come back, the ending of shadow the hedgehog made it clear that Black Doom was not on the Comet when it was blown up, so it would work for the canon. Plus he is more interesting then Zavok and he is at this point a mainstay Villain along with Eggman and Metal Sonic. (Too early to tell if Infinite will be a mainstay villain yet)

Particularly among Dr Eggman given how egotistical he was. That being said it appears unlikely given how reactive Sonic Team is among the greater fandom at large. However as an individual I would love to see this concept expanded however unlikely.

This video portrays Infinite extremely well. He honestly works better as a joke villain. His powers of illusion are so useless, but he has his moments of brilliance here and there. That specific moment is of course Ocrap.

His powers of illusion could be useful with the right application. If there's one thing I've learned from superhero media is that almost any superpower can be, I mean, just take Bouncing Boy for instance, he is one of the founding members of the Legion of Superheroes and he has one of the single dumbest superpowers in all of existence yet he somehow makes it work (he rolls into a ball and bounces, that's it). The episode "The Substitutes" starring the side team, Legion of Substitute Heroes was all about a group learning to properly apply their dumb powers too. Out of all of the ones in that episode, the viewer is lead to believe Color Kid and Stone Boy had the most useless powers of the bunch being that all Color Kid can do is change the colors of other things and people and Stone Boy just turns to stone but later Color Kid discovered he can REMOVE color too, allowing him to do a team-up tripping trick with Stone Boy while Stone Boy, while in orbit, managed to perfectly calculate his re-entry to slam right into the episode's villain.

Now that you lay out all of his powers like this, Infinite really is an extremely lame character only a five-year old would have the nerve to come up with. That's why Roger's portrayal of Infinite is a lot better than how he is in Forces. Also, this little nugget of yours below is just laughable. *"And he can selectively make his virtual constructs - simply mere illusions...Or every bit as real... as reality itself - as he pleases."* That makes no logical sense since if something is already an illusion, it can't be real. That's just one demonstration of how Infinite is a pathetic character and how his powers are utterly ridiculous.

2:28 Wow, that cameo makes way too much sense. If Alle got the job, he would have gotten to be on a team with Shadow and annoy the crap out of him, so there’s the motivation. And his canonical backstory actually was that he was meant to be a cake, but ended up as a sentient Hedgehog-Koopa Mobian thingy because Gerald Robotnik used the Ultimate Lifeformula as a bookmark in the cook book which got it confused for a cake recipe, so it actually makes perfect sense for him to be deathly afraid of people chasing him with forks. Infinite‘s jealousy trip and Black Doom‘s complete resistance to it was the best part of the episode. Also, Eggman’s inability to recognize Infinite in disguise is very reminiscent of Dr. Doofenshmirtz‘ inability to recognize Perry the Platypus when he’s not wearing his fedora.

If Sonic Team were really going for a Resistance type storyline, they should've followed this route with the Comicbook characters. Also Infinite Illusions bend reality, so basically anything created by him exists in said persons reality, and being set on fire would be possible. At least thats how the game describes it.

It's true I'm nerfing his powers for comedic effect. It's kinda the problem with Infinite, if his illusions really have the real power of their properties, including the freaking sun, then Infinite is an impossible villain to fight. Especially since the game doesn't show Infinite being tired or exhausted or strained or anything from conjuring up the sun. The only hint of a limitation of his powers we get is that he needed 3 days to create the sun appearently. If Eggman just shut his trap and let Infinite conjure up a sun in stealth, he'd cheese his victory. And then the game contradicts his powers by making CHaos Zero and Clone Shadow go down like chumps. So, eh, his powers are so all over the place. I'm sure there's some logic to it but the Forces never seems particularly interested in making itself clear, so I feel zero guilt in tweaking the illusions for my own purposes. In my cartoons, they operate on a "It's kinda real if you believe in it" level. But that's the diffrence between me and Sonic Team I guess, they use Infinite's power mostly for physical effect, while I prefer him using his powers for psychological effect and screw with everyone's minds rather then just conjure up lot's of clones to fight or end of the world destruction to stop.
