This song is awesome. I wish we got to hear more lyrics but thematically speaking I think only hearing “Open your heart, it’s gonna be alright” normally and it distorting repetitiously works so well… depending on how you interpret the Phantom Ruby’s power. In this scenario with this song playing it makes me feel like despite Choas finding peace with itself back in Adventure, an unnatural force is willing him back into being and it corrupts him. He feels all the rage he once had again because he was summoned unwillingly and his anguish is being brought out by someone else trying to manipulate him, similar to Eggman. With the Zavok encounter it seems like these illusions have a form of sentience and have the memories of the original. So Infinite is theoretically bringing Choas back to life with parts of his memories snipped away, yet despite this he remembers the words of someone unfamiliar yet it has the sensation of that from a friend he hasn’t seen in ages. So fucking powerful. Love it.

The story needs to be expanded and have some added clarification in certain aspects like how the illusions actually work. Would love to see this game’s story be reused and adjusted properly because the potential of Eggman winning a war and making everything his territory with the added bonus of bringing back past villains is too great. Maybe one day

I love metal as he's one of my favorite characters.... Zavoks... Meh.... But I would've loved a phantom shadow fight where he has the SA2 personality... It feels like shadows lost that since he was only supposed to be in SA2, but I would've loved the SA2-like for true story remix... And that he's doing this for maria... Maybe a representation that this phantom is before shadow came to terms And let it go, and him finishing off this phantom represents him letting go of everything when it comes to maria, yet still missing her dearly. And a chaos fight with that same rage that the original had due to everything before sonic and gang helped him.... Not to mention we could've maybe seen a Chaos 5. Oh well... I don't think sonic forces was a bad game.. But it Could've been better.

@@StormGardenHedgefleet I feel as if the reasons they bought zavok back was because he was in one of the more recent sonic games, one I personally don't like, I hate the "three words, diet and exercise" line since it just isn't sonic, and it shows how sonic used to be cool and be like: "my adventures don't end until I stop running!" And learning more about his character, his song it doesn't matter with lyrics like: "cause I will never... Give up the fight! Oh, it's about the voice inside... No matter who's wrong who's right.. It doesn't matter by what happens tonight!" Like. .. He's just living life to its fullest and doesn't care what's thrown at him since he'll still live his life the fullest it can go, danger and journeys just adding to it. Anyways, going back on topic, I agree in the sense that chaos could've definitely gotten a fight, like... There was no reason for him not to, nor get different chaos forms etc.

The only reason Chaos was in Forces ( as I've heard from other sources) is that Forces was supposed to be a tie in with the movie which isn't supposed to come out now until 2019. Reason being is that Chaos is one of the main antagonists in the movie along with Dr. Eggman.

I can imagine this theme playing in an avatar vs. Perfect chaos setting. You get through the chemical plant which blows up after a heated battle with infinite, but he then uses the phantom ruby to charge up chaos for a battle. Chaos jumps into a giant pool of megamac (the name of the chemical you try to avoid in sonic 2) and you have to fight perfect chaos made of megamac instead of water, and it's a timed battle where you have to beat chaos before the chemicals raises up too high and starts flooding the rest of the land

To hit it, the rookie must wait until it does a slamming attack, which launches the platforms into the air from the wave it produces, which the rookie can wire attack to reach Perfect Chaos’s head, allowing for damage. There is only one phase. POST-BATTLE CUTSCENE The rookie is standing on the rubble, the water having vanished. [Vector over comms] “Hey, rookie! What’s your status?” “Hm!” “Good. We need ya back at base, so ya might wanna wrap up whatever yer doin’ quick.” The rookie grapples something and zips off-camera, and it fades to black.

Sonic does a thumbs up to Tails and gets into a combat pose) *fight starts* It is notable that Chaos 2 would look the same as in Adventure, except he wouldn't have the Emeralds. (Chaos is in his 0 form at the beginning. The arena consists of a bottom floor, and some balconies above it. Chaos would jump around, ocassionally streching his arm or spinning, depending on his distance to Sonic. After taking enough damage he would turn into Chaos 2, which would make Tails say something along the lines of:) Tails: How could he transform?! He doesn't have any Emeralds! (Chaos 2's moveset is similar to 0, but his attacks have better reach, in addition to being able to block attacks from the front. He would also turn into a ball, which would create an opportunity to hit him. After taking down this he would turn into 2 Chaos 1s, which would fight like Chaos 2 with better attacks, but without the ball or the block. After taking them down the fight would be over) Tails: We've taken him down... But this is just the beginning. *post fight cutscene:* Tails: So, who are you, anyway? This is how I imagine Phantom Chaos' Boss Battle to have been like,He starts out as Chaos 0 but, as you keep hitting his weak point, he randomly shuffles through his forms ( which forms being Chaos 0 , 2 , 4 , and 6).Once you hit him enough times, he splits into 4 copies of himself and 3 of them turn into Chaos 2, 4, and 6 and they go all out on you. The battle is finished when you defeat all of the copies of Chaos.

I have a really cool idea for a chaos fight Dlc Infinite is defeated and everyone thinks their ok when chaos falls out the sky and starts fighting. When you hit him enough he turns into Perfect Chaos and you have to chase him while one of Eggman's machines carry Perfect Chaos and hit him and then defeat him

So... Classic Sonic vs Chaos After Classic hits Chaos in the head and Tails ends rambling Chaos gets up and attacks again. Then the fight starts. It's located on a platform with two lanterns on the sides. Chaos jumps on one of them and attempts to hit you from there. You have to do Spindash strong enough it wobbles the lantern so hard Chaos falls of and then you can damage him. After 3 hits Chaos uses Phantom Ruby's energy to turn into an illusion of Perfect Chaos. He attacks with his water tentacle things and then slams into the platform with his head (your chance to attack him). Then he moves to another location andyou have to chase him from platform to platform while he continues his water attacks. Eventually he repeats the same thing he did at the end of his bossfight in Generations (spawns multiple platforms) and the music changes. Once you hit him again, Chaos turns back and disolves just like Zavok did. Meanwhile, fight with Egg Dragoon is replaced at the end of Green Hill. Instead of flagpole, there is Eggman escaping from you (like he did at the end of Sonic & Knuckles). He takes 8 hits. Once he's done, the level ends and cutscene about Eggman's plan plays

I love it, and btw, Sonic Mania is getting an extension, I wonder if Sonic Forces will have an extension as well that will include everything we know was not include (Chaos, some stages, cutscenes, story and Super Sonic (they included him in the last moment because they knew people would claim him, so they programmed him maybe in the rush period) I really hope Sonic Forces Plus become a thing, and with the enough time given to develop it. Talking about a Boss Fight with Chaos, it could have been so cool to be the pre-final boss fight, he wouldn't be just water but a fluid made of the Infinite's cubes (what if maybe at some point in Metropolis for the Avatar it was Chaos instead of Infinite who were messing up with the city? It would make sense with all those weird Infinite forms, if you imagine Chaos it would fit A LOT more (someone should make that a mod xD)

Chaos would stay longer then just a boss fight and everyone would be wondering why this God would be attacking them again, imagine if shadow died and stayed dead in SA2 and so he comes back and fights sonic... Definitely not another shadow the hedgehog though. Please Sega never, EVER make another shadow the hedgehog. Literally killed shadows character at that point, 06 tried to save it and then the next game screwed him over badly-. Please no classic sonic in 3D. Please just make a good game with a story that at least doesn't break continuity.

Awesome Phantom Chaos should been a boss in his level and being one of the penultimate bosses along with Phantom Shadow,Phantom Zavok,Phantom Metal Sonic, and Infinite where the Resistance faces the Phantom Villains and maybe the Phantom Heavy King if Infinite opens a portal and summoned the Phantom Heavy King Awesome them for Phantom Chaos

I agree this should have been a full fight - as for why Tails didn't fight back--- well, Tails's story, prior to the final bit, in Sonic Adventure was really sketchy on how much of it happened considering the game's Rashomon storytelling. Combine that with seeing what he thought was his best friend dying (and I can imagine Infinite being an absolute prick and creating an illusion that made it seem like they killed Sonic), Tails was probably not in his right mind anyway.
