Sonic music has ALWAYS been peak, there just hasn't been this mood and atmosphere to Sonic since around 2009. I'm happy to see it return in Frontiers. Check out the OSTs for Sonic '06, Riders, Secret Rings, etc.

The fact that so many people are surprised when they listen to the Sonic Frontiers soundtrack really shows how little people know about the Sonic Franchise. Pretty much ever since Sonic went all in on 3D games, Sonic has had the best soundtracks out there. Go listen to songs like 'Open Your Heart' from Sonic Adventure 1, and 'Live & Learn' from Sonic Adventure 2. Those were what REALLY set Sonic on this course. Of course, almost every Sonic game after has had amazing soundtracks, but not all are Rock n' Roll or Metal. Sonic definitely has variety.
