I discovered that purely on accident because I thought it had to do with the extra animation using cyloop which after blocking the laser gives you time to fight uninterrupted (by the ring draining orbs)

Poor supreme. the next minute before Sonic crashes into the end, note that Max Cyber Super sonic just VAPORIZES supreme on impact. Like, he goes from Titan to explosion in 1 frame, and the brightest part of the explosion lasts 4 frame total. it happened so fast I didn't even register where Supreme went for the first few watches.

I love that you can tell how far you are in Eggman's 'You must die' list by how long he doesn't shoot you. Eggman has a lot of kill shots that would, at worst, CRIPPLE The End while rendering it unable to strike back for a while as it put itself back together in CyberSpace. Meanwhile, he (And likely Tails) would have found a way to free themselves from the islands and basically render CyberSpace Null. But no, he waited for a KILL shot to destroy both The Sovereign, but also The End. Even Sonic isn't that far on the 'You must die' list, and he's been stopping Eggman like it's his job or something.

Nah man, that stuff with the chain just pissed me off so much that I just didn’t like it. Holy crap! That was shounen as hell! I can't say I'm a fan of the Sonic games since Sonic Unleashed, but wow, the action sequences are some of the most exciting set peices I've watched ever. I'm kinda sad they went with a different atmosphere for this version of The End, but for what it's worth they did a great job. I'm especially glad they actually made The End out to be a genuine threat. Neither 4 Titans or Super Sonic are a match for this thing, so even with this new form Sonic is bound to have a hard time (to be fair to the og they do imply that version of The End isn't at full power). I love how they make the entire first phase feel completely hopeless until you finally figure out what to do (even if it could've been conveyed a lot better), then make sure to show in the second phase that it really takes everything we can give to take it down for good.

I like the fact that they used the original Supreme boss fight as the warm up for the absolute brutal slug fest that comes after… I’m not joking when I say (and I’ve played every Sonic game ever made), that this version of “The End” is without a question, the most difficult boss in the 3-D era…. Possibly the hardest Sonic boss of all time PERIOD.

The hardest part for me was the 5th trial I spent 4 hours trying to finally beat i managed in the end, even on easy mode 🤣 skill issue I know but still you are limited to 400 rings to beat gigantic, wyvern and knight and you do little damage

Same here. I had heard there was an idea pitched on how to work Hyper Sonic into the game, but it got rejected. Honestly I think it was a missed opportunity, but SS 2 was still pretty neat. Hopefully, they'll figure out a way to work in Hyper Sonic in Sonic Frontiers 2, or a future Sonic game.

They're rushing their game out on top of having horribly short deadline and tight budget -- but Frontiers had completely shattered my expectations, which is not high at all, but still Sonic Frontiers is mostly on point, with the development and direction they're taking their game to it make me hype and-- I hope SEGA realize why Frontiers become super successful within a considerably short time.
