Sonic Frontiers Update 3: Uncovering New Ouranos Island

One problem I had with Ouranos Island was the atmosphere. At the point in the story when you reach the island, The End has been unsealed and plans to finish what it had started a long time ago. Destroying the Earth. Yet, despite this apocalyptic sounding scenario, the atmosphere doesn’t really convey that. I think it would be cool if you could see The End floating in the sky on Ouranos Island. Sort of as a reminder that you’re on borrowed time. And each time you collect a Chaos Emerald, the sky gets darker as The End looms closer to the planet. Finally reaching the point to where all the emeralds are obtained and The End sends out Supreme to fight you before taking the fight to it. I don’t think this specific idea would happen, but in the promotional trailers for the final update, we do see The End looming in the sky for each character so who knows. Maybe it will happen.

Isn’t The End trapped inside Supreme? That’s why you fight Supreme in the first place. The first three titans were all made to see Sonic as an enemy because of Sage, but with Supreme that’s not the case. The End has taken over Supreme, and once you damage Supreme enough it escapes into space. I’m really interested to see how update 3 will change things though. It would be great to have Ouranos Island actually *feel* like time is running out

@agentomecha634 I agree after I played through Ouranos after a few cyberspace stages, a few emeralds, defeated a few guardians waiting for Supreme or The End to show up to give you a doomsday sense of dread and none of that happened. I stood there as Sonic and I felt like…we’re just there whatever happened to the panic and gotta save the earth feeling like the Death Egg, the Cannons Core, The End of the World from 06, Perfect Dark Gaia, or something? But no Ouranos it’s calm and too peaceful to be a final battle….

Yeah, no, The End was not the worst boss fight in Sonic history, that still goes to Console Time Eater. Don't care what anyone else says about that.

Another way of asthetically fixing ouranos AND rhea is to change their biomes based on seasons. eg rhea having an autumn look and ouranos having a snowy winter look like some mods we have.

It would also be cool if maybe the more you progress in the island the more bigger and visible the End gets as its seen in the story trailer. Another cool thing is maybe the island could get more corrupted because it had a purple palette to it aswell in the story trailer!

Regardless of what they do, I just hope it feels like a full conclusion to the game, just a sense o finale, because if they get it right sonic frontiers will be one of the most complete sonic games of the franchise.

Theory: Some enemies on oranous island were supposed to be for chaos island(Kunoichi, Red Pillar) and some enemies from chaos island were supposed to be on ares island(Shinobi, Excavator). look at the color of the soldiers on each island and you'll see that they match the color scheme for the ninjas and towers

Idea that Probably won't happen but its fun to think; what if Final Horizon is a seperate story mode? The base game story could be renamed Simulation Mode, while "Final Horizon" Mode also starts from Kronos Island but only with that subtle changes up to Rhea Island. 3:01 I really like the idea of Ouranos Island being the Ancient name for Angel Island. Maybe it could be another undiscovered zone like Knuckles has mentioned in IDW.

Okay, so Genshin has an update to Fontaine tomorrow, that will be a decent amount of time to play the story missions and check out the new areas until Thursday, then Thursday I will play the new sonic update, and hopefully with both of those, it will be enough to tide me over until October 20th when Spider-Man comes out…. about the guardians thing, I see this as impossible but I really would love if they bring back ALL of the variants of the enemies and guardians (not only the gold ones) I would love if all enemies and guardians had all of their tiers added into the game, especially the tier 5 ninja or tower but I mean, literally adding EVERY variant for EVERY enemy and guardian, that's why I see that as an imposibility lol but anybody can dream I guess lol just imagine a tier 5 ninja, or a tier 4 and 5 spider, or a tier 5 fortress or asura... or at least add new guardians/guardian variants exclusive to knuckles, tails and amy gameplay to add more variety
