Old phones like these were released in a time period where pretty much every Android smartphone manufacturer didn't really know what to do with themselves. They just released a whole bunch of crazy phones, trying to figure out which one would be their big break, and most of them never really caught on. (There's the Motorola Backflip, Galaxy Beam, LG DoublePlay, and Xperia Play (aka "PlayStation Phone") for starters.) But honestly, these types of smartphones are my favorite ones. I mean, who wants to carry around a generic old black box when you've got these bad boys?

this was my first phone i got as a kid i can remember when i was grounded in 2016 i dug up this phone again from my drawers and the browser could still play youtube videos with ads but at a low resolution (360p i think) it also had the very old youtube mobile layout

That thing played N64 better on the first computer I ever tired N64 emulation on. A custom ROM would've probably noticeably improved things. I had a motorola droid 2 from around that time and motorola's ROM was notoriously bad and bloaty.

Why are you trying to open the ROMs directly, that's not how Android works. Open the J2ME launcher and make sure they are in the correct folder.

The first thing I did with my Galaxy Z Flip 5 was put a GBA emulator on the outside screen. And since you need to use the small screen for inputs as well... ya that gets tiny
