I'll never forgive SEGA for not allowing us to actually play as them instead of pressing one button and having them randomly teleport from a void to do one task for .05 seconds and disappear again EDIT: Hey uhh @SEGA here's your opportunity to fix it in Sonic X Shadow Generations you already have 4 of the characters' gameplay down 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Carlton Brown No. What made Sonic 06 so hated was that it was an unfinished game. If it had been finished, it would have been the greatest Sonic game of all time. Their plan was to have Sonic 06 be the stepping stone for the future of all Sonic games just like they're trying to do with Frontiers now. But due to Yuji Naka abandoning his team mid-development and SEGA pressuring the tean for a holiday release for the 15th anniversary, we got what we got. That's what made it hated. Not the different gameplay elements and multiple playable characters.

@@silverguy526 actually it was also hated back than because of all of the playable characters Due to game critics and some fans being stupid, instead of blaming the game being shit on like almost everything wrong with it they blamed it on "Sonic has too many stinky friends" which is unirocally the reason why after 06 there's been almost no playable character aside from Sonic

@@venor2612 Hated by who? Critics who only like shit games like Call of Duty? Exactly. Their opinion literally does not matter and never did and that's what SEGA needs to realize. Fans are the ones buying the games, not critics. If they continue to listen to critics instead of people who actually like Sonic (fans), then they will no longer have fans.

@@silverguy526 thing is while critics are obviously what made Sega take these decisions I won't lie, back then I've seen a LOT of discussions about how much sonic friends sucked ass, and how they were useful and ruined the franchise and how they ruined the core gameplay of sonic Granted this discussion is less common now but add to that the people who didn't like sonic getting new "useless friends" with every installment plus game critics and yea that how sonic friends are reduced to basically nothing now in the games Also honestly this is kinda off topic but I think one of the issue with Sega (aside from making obviously dumb decisions) is that they went to please the fan...but also always misses what the fans actually liked but that partially because the fans for the most part don't know what they want out of sonic (due to the fact that he kept changing) and how Sega tries to please said fans with what once worked but now are just overused Or at least that what I've seen

Im pretty sure amy's mission is a reference to sonic advance 3 where when you used her tag action on the ground she would also launch you up inro the air while hitting her hammer on the ground

So, Classic Era Modern Friend Missions take place in each respective Zone(Tails; Green Hill, Amy; Chemical Plant, Knuckles; Sky Sanctuary) and in Dreamcast Era that's swapped to Classic Friend Missions, but it's swapped back for Modern Era... You know what would've been neat, if NONE of the Modern Friend Missions took place in their respective level. Instead of Crisis City, Blaze would have a Mission in Rooftop Run. Instead of RR, Vector would have Planet Wisp, and Charmy would have Crisis City.

Generations doesn't really need an "Ultimate version" like Colors did since Colors wasn't in HD to begin with. All Sega really needs to do is port it to PS4/PS5 and the Xbox consoles.

She actually can fly with her fire powers. The game developers just didn't animate any flame effects for her flight.
