I love how the show's creator never gave Mecha some gimmicky acheles' heel. Every time the characters fight with him, it's retaliate or die- and for almost all the non-main characters, it was the latter. Any time the guy was even on SCREEN you didn't know if someone was about to be put out for good on the whim of Mecha's power. This applies for #3's fight the most, my personal favourite. It's the most all-out the series ever gets, even compared to #6- the entire gang just TRYING to take down Mecha, while he pretty effortlessly counters all of them with exception to Shadow. great stuff, I miss this series

@@daboyz2374 That's the big difference that I can appreciate between Metallix and Mecha Sonic. Yoshi put up a fight against Metallix because Metallix *let* him. Metallix seems to have more murderous tendencies and sadistic outlook than Mecha does. His violence is completely restrained: He hits again and again and again because what he's fighting is still moving and increases his brutality when his emotions flare up. Metallix is incredibly unhinged right off the bat. That wasn't Mecha Sonic. No, Mecha Sonic was a stone-cold killer. The only amusement he got out of fighting was how easy it was to put his foes on the ropes...the opposition against him itself was illogical and absurd. Who even could dream they stood a chance? Past that? No, outside of his little game with Mario and Co. on Yoshi's Island, Mecha ends his fights in *seconds.* And that's what makes him a different kind of brutal compared to Metallix. Not better: different. Every strike and every attack is purposely made to be as agonizing and painful as possible because it's the best way to put the enemy down. Even at his most angry, Mecha turned that fury into raw catharsis, *instantly* striking back with zero hesitation. I just love this contrast Mark (Alvin Earthworm) introduced: it was clear he was very passionate about honoring what Mecha Sonic stood for while introducing something new.

Wow. Going straight from Episode 3’s to Episode 6’s Mecha Sonic battle really goes to show just how much Mark improved in animation between the two. Things like the squash effects in the animation adds so much to things like attack impact. Other things like fade-in slow-mo effects, glow and auras and overall faster choreography improve it so much. And it’s hard to think that there’s so little animations that even come close to this quality when this is the mid 2000’s we’re talking about! It’s 2020, the year of the 10TH GENERATION of gaming. Animation in all senses skyrocketed after 2010 came, I mean, look at some 2010 animations like this and you’ll see what I’m on about. And to think, the Reboot is going to look 100x better! Animations like this are going to be actual relics of their time, I can feel it! (And I especially can’t wait for Episode 6’s Reboot when the day comes!)

SMG4 Francis is an angel compared to SMBZ Mecha Sonic. Francis killed Emo Fish Girl, kidnapped inklings, tortured them, all because he wants an island with anime ladies. You know I just realized something. Sonic is constantly surrounded by chaos energy and even if he doesn't have an emerald on him when Mecha Sonic is around he could give in to his anger and turn into Dark Sonic I know that he doesn't like the dark side taking over but it may give him a fighting chance if he used his anger to fuel him.

Y'know with the context of sonic frontiers, the recent exploration of project 06 and the Mario rpg spin offs, I keep coming back to this and thinking to myself. "Man, do you know cool and money making it would be to make a full game that's similar to this series. I know I would. Just think about it, change up the story a little to have a bigger party size so you could throw in the likes of Geno, silver and blaze. Hell you could get creative and throw in paper Mario in for the heck of it if you wanted to do secret characters. I know I'd pay good money for that."

This guy was a complete monster of a villain. I always found it nifty Sonic doesnt use Special Attacks against Mecha Sonic unless its an emergency since Mecha Sonic can copy them like with the Light Dash.
