The „illegal instruction” isn’t an „anti-piracy” thing. It’s just when the cpu tries and fails to decode an instruction from a place that either doesn’t have it, or is corrupted.

this definitely could have been something better but the game looks like it was slapped on top of a modern engine, the "get out" section was using default windows fonts and the illegal instructions constantly showing up over the game while it's still playing are not how that works. the concept is alright but the execution is definitely off
