Sonic Mania - It's Not Perfect

I think that number of the brand new levels should've been doubled . And I also think that there should've been a multiple routes system where the last stage (Act) of a level (Zone) has 2 or 3 different Bosses with each of them being located in 2 or 3 different locations of the Act , which boss you defeat decides which level (Zone) is next to beaten . The first fourth and last fourth of the game will play without the multiple routes system . It can be taken the step further that sometimes (key word sometimes) if you beat the easiest route and Boss of the Zone the next Zone would be harder than the Zones you would be playing next if you picked the harder Bosses .

Cool video even though don't 100% agree. Would be cool to see vids on the advance series. I haven't played them yet but my one problem looking in from the outside they look pretty ugly to me. The art style is rough and having modern sonic in the classic 2d formula just doesn't fit.

@@vladimirbathory1125 I'm surprised you don't like the look! Especially in motion, I think the advance series looks better than mania! I mean mania is newer and sparklier with newer tech but damn do I love the advance series

Mania is one of my least favorite classic like games With only Sonic 1 and Sonic 4 episode 1 being under it In case of sonic 4 Episode 2 I think it just did more in general like metal sonic being a rival in the whole game with multiple boss fights and bigger bosses in general and the team mechanics with tails are neat I rather replay it than mania Manias level design is to simple its mostly slopes and loops and it misses the platforming and the earning speed part which made sonic 1-3 and cd great

Mania really needs more to help it stand out as its own thing. So many returning zones was a mistake, and taking level design DIRECTLY from previous games was an even bigger mistake. Great comment, thanks for watching

@@xavierreallyplaysgames hydrocity act 2 in mania is basically hydrocity act 2 sonic 3 they went especially lazy with the sonic 3 stages because the game was so perfect with its level design All the original level design is not in the same league as the classics or even the league of dimps sonic advance 3 or sonic rush adventure level design And yes sonic superstars has amazing level design I like it and the bosses aren’t even so long many in mania go on for too long like the hard boiled heavies and puyo puyo

@@clasherinotheone5249 totally agree. Studiopolis act 1 boss goes on for way too long as an example. I can't stand that boss fight.
