I really liked the dynamic between Shadow and Maria portrayed in the film. It was very sweet seeing this cold dark character having fun with someone who's almost his polar opposite. That's something I wished was shown more in the games but happy I got to see in the movie.

On the topic of the end-credits scene, my first reaction to seeing Metal was “omg he looks *exactly* how he does in the games!” Like, I get that it would be easier for a non-organic character, but he still looks ripped directly out of the Toei Sonic CD movie (which is amazing btw, I think you might be able to find it on KZbin) and I still can’t tell if they’re using actual animatronics or just CGI for that scene. Crazy how far the team came from that Lanky Sanic Boi over 5 years ago 😅

I normally HATE romance but…ngl…. Movie Amy and Sonic could be adorable if they do it right…like in Sonic X except a lot less cringy and since Sonic isn’t a kind jerk like in that anime they could make it much sweeter.

i am quite curious too…… with Amy i agree with you, it’s possible for her to be the strong embodiment of love itself without being obsessive / boiled down to a love interest. hot take but i really hope they don’t make Sonic reciprocate her feelings, i love that she has a crush but Sonic could be taken a different way since he’s domesticated in the movies lol
