While I do indeed think this could be the last movie, I don't see it ending with him back on his home planet. More likely, the song is referencing Green Hills, since that place was called the Green Hill Zone in the Knuckles miniseries. I don't think the Sonic movies would have two Green Hill Zones.

Throughout the movies it has a theme of sonic growing up and by the end of this I could see him saying goodbye to tom and maddie and moving on with tails and knux to green hill, definitely an opportunity to introduce amy and the rest of the cast

@@donttrunn I don't know though. I think it would go against his character arc in the first movie, where he made it clear that he wasn't going to run away anymore. Maybe if there are more movies after Sonic 3 (IF there are more movies), they could do a one-off movie where they go back to Sonic's world and have some sort of adventure there. But I don't see him permanently leaving Tom and Maddie. And anything directly in Sonic's world would also be touch and go, because it would require less live action footage, and therefore would be more expensive to animate the fully CGI backgrounds for the movie, whether or not they use AI.

Ever since February it's been officially clear that Live & learn will be in the Sonic 3 movie because Johnny Gioeli (lead singer & songwitter of Crush 40) confirmed that he'd signed a deal for Paramout to legally get the rights to that banger song. Also there's been a recent update that reveals that according to that musician himself, Paramount will have the OG Crush 40 version of it in that movie, not a remix!🎉

@@kitleecaplinger2987 Hopefully they will understand the importance of having the final battle scene be when they will have Live & learn be playing. It'd be a totally dumb idea/big mistake to have that song play at any other time in the Sonic 3 movie than that scene because the final boss battle in the Last Story is when a recording of the full version of that song plays in SA2, so a lot of fans will be mad at them if they mess this opportunity up by having "during that scene" NOT be when it will play.

My guess is that they're going to use that song for the music video that all the Sonic Movies had to promote the movies. That’s my take on it, or maybe they use the new render of Live and Learn for it and not put it in the film, and when the climax of the movie comes in, like when Super Shadow is stopping the ARK from falling to the Earth I hope they'll use an epic song choice like how Deadpool and Wolverine chose Like A Prayer for their finale epic scene although that'll probably make a lot of Sonic fans mad that they didn't use Live and Learn for that epic scene 🦔🖤❤️

I'll say that while it is very possible that this could be the last movie (I personally think there's a good chance it is), I don't see Sonic go back to his home planet at the end of it. Not only did Tom and Maddie adopt him (as well as Knuckles and Tails), but if he did go back, Tails and Knuckles would be with him, so the song being about him being on his own would be a factual error. Plus, Sonic going back would go against the entire point of his character arc, which was that he wasn't going to run away anymore. So while this song could be in the movie, I don't see this being an indication of him going back to his world. That said, there is one thing it could very well be a reference to, and that is what happens to Shadow at the end of the movie. Based on what I saw with the leaked storyboards (which since the Knuckles leaks turned out to be 100 percent exactly right, that makes these leaks 1000 percent more likely to also be exactly right; the leaked storyboards predicted Robotnik being in the movie well before it was revealed that he was returning for the movie), it is very clear that they are taking alot from Sonic X in this movie. And as many people know, at the end of the Adventure 2 arc in Sonic X, Shadow had presumably met his end (to the point where he didn't show up again until the Metarex Saga). So if he ends up in a similar way here (and it looks like this is extremely likely), then the song could be a reference to Sonic presumably being the only Hedgehog left at the end of the third movie. Green Hills has already been canonically referred to as the Green Hill Zone in the Knuckles miniseries. So the line is probably referencing that. I doubt they're going to have two Green Hill Zones in the movies. What does this mean? Well, taking the lyrics as something referring to what happens in the movie, it means that Shadow will likely be presumed to have met his end at the end of the movie (which is consistent with the storyboard), Sonic will be back home with Tails and Knuckles and Tom and Maddie, possibly not sure if Shadow really survived or not. It also means we are probably not getting Amy Rose in this movie, but that we could see her in a future movie if there is one. So in that manner, Sonic is on his own because he is the only Hedgehog at that point.

Something like this could work as a powerful ending song to the aftermath of an emotionally charged climax. If Sonic is singing this, it could be because he ends the movie alone in the TOWN of Green Hills, Montana, Wachowskis deceased and his friends separated after the events of the movie.

The last lyric says "people aren't picking up the phone". I think this could be actually taking place in the middle of the movie. Because in Sonic adventure 2 Sonic gets framed and has to go to jail. So maybe in this continuity he escapes off world back to Green Hill zone and is there all alone in hiding. The plot line of him being framed makes sense in this context. It would also make sense why he's all alone if he's in hiding and also no one would pick up the phone if they think he's a criminal. He has run away when people were after him before anyway so it makes sense that he would do it again. There is also plausibility that GUN will probably find him on Green Hill since in the knuckles show it shows that they have access to rings and that they already know about the mushroom planet.
