Yea man they cooked The best flim in the trilogy I can’t stop thinking about the third act and gushing about all the references to SA2 in the movie They took that plot imo and made it fit perfectly for the movie universe There’s a few issues but they really don’t hinder the flim I’d give it a 8.5/10 Sonic 3 went hard can’t wait to see what they do for Sonic 4

This movie is phenomenal, blows Sonic 2 out of the water, and the super hedgehog fight scene is the best cgi fight scene I’ve seen (I haven’t scene a lot of cgi fight scene), and I am unbelievably hyped for Sonic 4, I think it’ll be a cd and heroes mash up Amy probably being from the future, and metal being made in the past, Mabye from the death egg robot offscreen but from the future, I think metal overlord or neo or something will be so strong there only chance is to go back in time and destroy metal from when he was first created.

Watch Scott Pilgrim. I'd say it has the best CGI fight scenes in any movie. I also haven't seen that much amazing cgi fights though.

while I do love how written the dynamic is between Sonic , Tails and Knuckles is I think they are as of current well written in the games to (aside from maybe Amy) but we'll have to wait to the next mainline game to see how their writing is for sure But yeah Sonic 3 was amazing!

I watched this movie jn and I feel so mixed about it. I really love it but there's a pacing issue where there's too much eggman and not enough shadow vs team sonic. And maria didn't get capped 😔. Them changing Maria's origin slightly doesn't hit as hard I feel since she's already living on earth, compared to the games where she wonders what this like to be on earth but never got the chance. It feels weird because I love this movie yet if they made some small changes like fixing the pacing, it would be so much cooler. Overall I still love the movie and the fight scenes are so damn hype but I still feel like sonic 2 is better paced. ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THEY GENUINELY RIPPED METAL SONIC STRAIGHT OUTTA THE GAMES BRO HE LOOKS SO GOOD OMG

Having only 1 or 2 songs from the games doesn't make it a good OST. Movie 3, even when it was a dissapointment for me, did have a more memorable soundtrack: - Different jingles from the games like the one when you finish an act - Extremely short appearance of E.G.G.M.A.N. - Live and Learn (multiple remixes too) - More intense action music - City Escape

I have no doubt that the movie will combine elements of Sonic CD with elements of Sonic Heroes, much like how Sonic Movie 2 combined elements of Sonic 2 with elements of Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

If I was a causal fan, I would give it an 8 n say it’s better than Sonic 2. But as a Shadow weeb, 11 out of 10. Im so glad they finally added some Sonic music n the 3rd act was absolute cinema for Sonic n DBZ fans🙌🏾🔥. For characters, Sonic, while still not my favorite interpretation n jokes for him could be better, I enjoy his writing in the 3rd act. The hate for Movie Sonic kinda reminds of how hardcore Spidey fans hate Tom Holland interpretation cuz of how Sonic sees Tom as a mentor/father figure (Which I still would have preferred if Sonic sees Tom as a mentor cuz I hate it in Sonic 2 where Sonic call Tom dad🤦🏾‍♂️) while the games, Sonic ain’t dependent on shit n basically he just his own hero. And hell for the 3rd act, Sonic is basically how Tom Holland acted in No Way Home where he wanted revenge against Green Goblin for killing Aunt May. Still not the best interpretation of Sonic, but I’m not that mad cuz at least it’s not canon unlike a certain show🙄 and this Sonic is meant to inspire the new generation of fans so Movie Sonic will never really be close to how Game Sonic is n appeal to a lot of hardcore Sonic fans, which that’s ok cuz tbf it’s already a hard task to appeal to hardcore Sonic fans after the past inconsistency n interpretations of the blue hog. Hope Sonic gets better for Movie 4. Next Tails, while still just there, I like his writing better cuz he’s just a tech guy instead of being a fanboy of Sonic in Movie 2. Knuxs, I already said Idrias is peak as Knuxs n my favorite interpretation of Knuxs period n this movie doesn’t change that. Team Sonic as a whole, I enjoy their sibling sib and how well they work together, especially Knuxs being the big bro in the group. Tom n Maddie was whatever in this film. Rip Gun commander and Rockwell didn’t really add a lot in this film. I hope she comes back for a Shadow solo project cuz she was wasted in this film. For villains, Jimbotnik while bit much, still enjoyed his writing n especially the ending with Stone. And Stone, man I feel sorry for my boi n hope we see him again for Movie 4😭. Shadow, man Keanu carried this film for me. I’m still debating on whether he’s my favorite interpretation cuz I still love Game Shadow (Specifically SA2 to 06) but still no surprise, they done justice for this movie. I enjoy how they told Maria story too. Instead of being viewed as a goddess like the games, she’s just a troublemaking kid n I enjoy it cuz we get to see Shadow for the first time, just have fun n do dumb stuff like pull Maria across the lab, watch Bio-Lizard movie, n make bakery angels. And I like her line where she tells Shadow about how the light still shines, even when the star is gone n Shadow brought that up again on the moon when he n Sonic stop their fight in the 3rd act. Only thing I kinda wish they kept was Maria’s illness or at least promise Shadow to protect earth n find his own happiness. That n wish we see her spend time with Gerald. Other than that, still probably the best interpretation of Maria n Shadow’s sibling ship ever imo. Now finally Gerald, I absolutely hate how they written him. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind him being goofy in the 2nd half cuz that’s his way to connect with his grandson n I enjoy their chemistry together. And my favorite joke from him is when Rockwell caught both Eggmen n Eggman said “Can’t believe it” n Gerald really hit us with the “I know, a wOmAn in the military army, disgusting” lmao. My brother n I were like “AYO why is he based” jk but fr we laugh out loud on that part cuz that’s was out of pocket. Kinda makes sense since Gerald being around since the 60s n 70s but still wtf lol😂. 3rd act, that’s where I’m disappointed. I do like how crazy he is when he told Eggman his true suicidal mission n his line where he tells Eggman that he’s no Maria. That was cold n I was ready to see how much of a menace Gerald really is. But then we get the lamest Egg fight and Gerald being zap like bug, the end😑. At the end, I was like “Really n****”. The thing I was pissed off on was how we get an epic Super hedgehog fight yet we’re cut to a goofy ass Jim Carrey fight, which they could have made the fight better. Honestly to me at least, we would have been cool if we see Eggman used is SA2 mech n Gerald got his own mech n both box it out like how Tails done with Eggman. That to me would be sick. And then they could end it with Gerald getting zap cuz I won’t lie, it is kinda funny how Game Gerald died by fire arms n Movie Gerald just ends with getting zap like a bug lol. Wish Gerald was written better in the 3rd act along with showing more of his positive relationship with his granddaughter n Shadow so that I can feel for him more in the film, but that just me. Other than that, film is still peak n can’t wait for Movie 4
