This honestly makes me wanna see more of Longclaw. Hopefully the sequel gives Longclaw more character and we see more of her and Sonic back in Green Hill when he was younger. Maybe Tails came to Earth because Longclaw told him to accompany Sonic and we'll get more screen time of her during the sequel!

For everyone saying that she’s dead, we do not know that she’s dead. In the film Sonic only saw the portal close while longclaw was surrounded by the Echidnas. We probably are going to see her in the sequel when tails comes to get Sonic and bring him back to his world

Yup. I was thinking about it too. The echidna tribe tried to use Sonic's power to their advantage kinda like the chaos emeralds in Sonic Adventure. This could potentially set up a Sonic3/Sonic Adventure-like movie sequel

Aww, man I would've loved if she stayed alive. I like the idea of Sonic having a mother figure and a mystical mentor of sorts. It would've been a heartwarming relationship for those 2. The way she leaves the story at the start of the finished movie was awkward and abrupt. I could see her being like a master Splinter of sorts teaching Sonic how to control his powers with him sneaking out to play with the townspeople in his free time. Kind of a missed opportunity there.

Havoc D. Even if you have a mom you’re lonely in the sense that you don’t have a real friend. Tarzan was raise by apes and had an adoptive mother, but he still felt lonely as they weren’t his kind. It’s more of a camaraderie that he wanted, not parental love.

Ok there's what I can see happening if this deleted scene happend in the movie: The Ecidna Tribe attacked Sonic and Longclaw (like the final movie showed) then one of the Ecidna's set fire to Longclaw's home and she had to quickly throw the ring while explaining to Sonic that this world isn't save anymore and they have to leave asap. Then the Ecidna's try to get to them both and they get knocked out into the ring (showing Longclaw falling out of it, like the deleted scene) then, the sence happened with them both, with Sonic running on a freakishly long tree to his pending death but, Longclaw saves him. Then, after you see her fly off the title of the movie appears. Then, we are shown a montarge of Sonic growing up with Longclaw. After that scene, we get to see Longclaw on her deathbed. She tells and teaches Sonic about the importance of the rings and how if he is seen by anyone he can use them to get to a new world (like the final movie when she tells him this) then Longclaw would die of old age as Sonic holds the rings. And then we get to see the start of the final movie. Now, I would of really prefferd something like this than the final movie intro we got (doesn't mean I don't like it, it's just when seeing this deleted scene and seeing how Longclaw could of survived, it gives us more of how she is as a character and her intracting with Sonic much more than we got to see. Her death would of been more impactfull). But tbh I just want to see more of Longclaw, she seems like a cool character that just got brushed over.

Sam there are 2 design here the first one was far off from what we got his body proportions were definitely like the old design his white chest fur But when he was running the design changed hence why it was more polished he looked very close to what we got they just changed his nose and give him shoes and gloves cause if u noticed his chest fur was tan color and body proportions looked different!

Ok people keep talking about longclaw and tails 1. Sonic was a baby and tails is way younger than him so tails wouldn't even be born when this happened 2. Even if lc survived she could've died of old age or wounds because of the people talking about it 3. Tails probably heard of sonic on möbius or from the giant powerout 4. If tails is older/younger than baby sonic but is still born then maybe she originally told sonic to look after tails but they got separated

So what happened is the echidna tribe attacked sonic and longclaw and longclaw and she through a ring and after what you saw it shows sonic all grown up and discovers people and ask longclaw why he can't go interact with them to the next part when sonic said"longclaw took care of me till I got older and then I took care of here" to then longclaw dead. I can see why they didn't add this scene because they wanted her for the sequel

Nah I think having her die or look like she died from the Echidna Tribe made Sonic realize the danger more of being spotted by people and therefore made his actions during the rest of the movie make more sense imo. From his perspective getting spotted got the only person he knew killed and every thing he loved taken away from him. Longclaw dieing of old age wouldn't have the same impact. They could have developed things more at Green Hill first before the tribe showed up but that probably cost too much for their budget.
