Tip: If you want to give some 4 easy hits in the final death egg robot phase go to the back of the robot and try to not touch the fire.Instead where the fire is coming up try to attack that part.Hope that helps

This implies that Dr. Egghead attempted to pull a possible deadman’s switch on Sonic as a Plan B if Sonic beats him even if he was in the Death Egg Robot to prevent him from escaping from the Death Egg. If this is true, Robotnik clearly underestimated Sonic’s chances of escaping.

Sonic 4 shows Eggman bringing Metal Sonic back from Stardust Speedway instead of just making a new one. I think Metal is stronger, Eggman just didn’t have any way of rebuilding him. Maybe Metal has a unique power source or something?
