One of the best and darkest series of the Sonic franchise I wouldn’t be surprised if Sonic didn’t have PTSD at the end of all this. So much pressure put onto Sonic’s shoulders there’s only so much someone could take before they crack. I LOVE this series! I was watching it with my brother the other day, and was literally shaking at everything that happened in the final boss fight! I also nearly screamed when I saw Shadow was a part of the massive horde of Zombots. Also when it comes to favourite characters, Shadow’s top but Cream is super close second. She’s so brave and sweet, even when she had her mother torn from her. 😢 I love the way their characters are written. A note I want to point out, is that people think that Shadow let himself get infected because of his edgy ego. I don’t see it that way. Sonic did try to warn him about the virus, but since he knew he was made to be immune to all diseases, he figured he would be immune to this one. Therefore, that wasn’t a concern, and he could focus on the task at hand. However, the virus infected him. (He was made in the 1950’s, so he was probably immune to all diseases at the time, or Eggman specifically programmed the virus to also infect The Ultimate Life-Form.) But remember that this was also mid-fight, and Shadow isn’t really one to flee mid-battle. He believed that there was still fight left in him, and refused to give up. (Even when Rouge insisted on leaving) So, push comes to shove, he gets infected. *Rouge:* ‘Shadow, RUN! We’ll hold things here!’ (Trying to get him away) *Shadow:* ‘I DON’T RUN!’ (Refusing to flee,even though they have him cornered) ‘Cowards run, I win!’ (This line was dope 🤩)

You know, an ultimate plot twist would be Infinite the Jackal coming in the last second, with his phantom ruby, even though he hates Sonic and his friends, he hates Shadow the most and is angered that the virus managed to get Shadow with such ease... so he holds off the Zombots for as long as he can and takes on Zavok while the group attempts one last stressed out plan. And with the Phantom Ruby, they could maybe barely fix all of this, mainly because it's probably harshly repaired from their last battle, hence him glowing and being sent away saying "No... I can still fight!!" Not seen again until now since he had to study the ruby in order to at least have someone repair it unless he got infected... (Plot twist, he becomes the last threat because he hid the fact he was infected until it was too late.) And I know that almost EVERYONE hates Infinite because Sonic Forces did him dirty, but this would make for a perfect redemption! I think.

@@purkle200 Shadow was built to be immune to every virus and is immortal, I don't blame him for thinking he was immune when he was designed to be immune to everything. Sonic wanted to make piece with Metal because that's what he believes in, he believes people can reform. He saw what Eggman could be like with Mr Tinker and he's seen other Eggman creations turn over a new leaf before like Gemerl and Omega. Metal Sonic does have his own personality and from Sonic's perspective, Eggman was gone and it would remain that way forever, he had no way of knowing that Starline would bring him back. Besides, at the end of the day, Sonic didn't bring back Eggman and start the Metal Virus, that was Starline, if anyone is to blame, it's him. Shadow, I already talked about why it wasn't dumb for him to think he's immune to it, but he also didn't run when Rouge told him to because he took it as cowardice rather than advice. He was in the middle of a zombot hoard and clearly wasn't thinking straight due to stress and took the advice of run as cowardice instead. Yes, that was a bit stupid but I don't blame him.
