4 years later and it still bugs me watching videos of people doing too many flips to get to shortcuts, red factory, the first major jump, one front flip, 2-3 twists X-rank. I still play this game, to the point where I have a galaxy brain with all the shortcuts for each role memorised. Except for dark desert. I hate that stage too many twists and turns. But I’ll get there one day.

Hah, a person of culture. Cream + Grinder is one of the most powerful and busted character gear combos in the game. Granted, any flying character can use Grinder to similar results, but Cream just feels better to me.

Nope. She actually uses the Extreme Gear board when you unlock her after beating the Heroes Story along with Shadow. The Extreme Gear shoes become available at the store once you have unlocked Shadow. While the motorcycles are available after unlocking Eggman.

@@Progamer1013 Using the abilities of your character plus the Gear they use also makes a big difference. Hence why I used Cream (a Fly character) with the Grinder shoes (gaining Speed/grinding abilities) and Shadow (Speed) with that destroyer bike (Power ability) to have multiple viable options on the tracks. I also make sure that the Gear I use allows me to gain Air upon using these abilities and from tricks. Some Gear offer great stats but no Air recovery (aside from the stations found on each track).

@@Progamer1013 What I used was more of a preference, but I personally think that the combo of Speed+Fly and Speed+Power works well in the cups. I think it just depends on what you think would benefit you the most, be it using a combo or abilities or focusing on just one.

+No Nonsense Mobile Tech 17 I think I just prefer the trick mechanic in ZG more than the original, where it's more of a timing thing rather than hold A, release, then input movements kind of thing. No losing speed there, unlike here. Also, I like the Gears more in ZG, both in use and in design. Not to mention no turbulence for the AI to abuse in order to beat you in ZG.
