I’m still kind of sad final chase didn’t get a remix in the game because it goes so damn hard, and hypes me up because it’s literally about Shadow, questioning his existence, but hyping himself up to keep his mind off the startling revaluation that Shadow, might not be the true ultimate lifeform, and in the lyrics i hear i tell no lie like he’s saying he’s truly the ultimate lifeform.

Man, the level design in Shadow Generations is so good! I hope this is a sign for future Sonic games that their levels will be handled with this much care! Some of these levels gave me series Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 vibes in terms of their level design and layout and I love it!

Honestly, I do enjoy 06. Unpopular opinion but I have to admit it. I will say that P-06 improved the controls, but I didn’t mind the original controls either. I feel it suited the more combat heavy style of the game, and I didn’t mind Elise either. It was a little weird she was in love with Sonic, but the bulk of the great story lay in the Solaris project storyline and its consequences. I loved that. That being said, Shadow Gens really did deliver! They did a good job turning it into a boost level. ❤

Shadow's level from _Sonic Adventure 2_ is called Final Chase. Space Colony ARK is just the general area that the last portion of the game takes place in. Because the following levels also take place on the ARK; Lost Colony, Eternal Engine, Meteor Herd, Crazy Gadget, Final Rush, Mad Space, and Cosmic Wall.

I THOUGHT so! SO Shadow Generations DID use the Sonic version of the ARK stage for the music and the gravity stuff. I was really confused for a moment, but to be fair it's called "ARK" so it's a combination of Final Rush and Final Chase.

Very minor nitpick, but in Kingdom Valley in Shadow Generations, I don't like how the water rails immediately pop into existence from the eagle statue after you homing attack the green orb. In the original level, they briefly phased in. You can't really see it in the footage depicted here because the camera is crap in Sonic '06, but in other gameplay footage, that is what happens. Also, they should've added more details - in addition to phasing into existence, the water could've been flowing out from the eagle statue's location. It's pretty cool that grinding on it in Shadow Generations has its own special animations and sound effects, though - and they're more pronounced here than in the original.

@@dashi-musashi351 Didn't do anything for me. It worked fine in SA2 but it did fuck all in Heroes on my end. Animation looks goofy as Hell when spammed, but it got me better results. Plus I don't trust the rails in Heroes enough to do ANYTHING as intended, shit got me playin' as the flight characters to change rails without goin' 50 feet to the right or left

If you wanted something closer to the original but not a buggy mess, Legend of Solaris would have been a fine choice. P-06 is for people who just want the levels and new bells and whistles. Legend of Solaris is for the people who want to enjoy everything in 06 (cutscenes, bosses, story, hub worlds etc) but fixed and with some new additions too.

Sonic’s level is Final Rush. Shadow’s is Final Chase (as in, he’s chasing Sonic so he can’t blow up the cannon with the fake emerald)

The level in Shadow Generations isn't specifically Final Rush or Final Chase. It's just a general Ark themed level that encompasses all of them, even the ones from Shadow 05 as it features stage gimmicks from all of them. That's why it's just called Space Colony Ark. They used Final Rush's music because it's the most recognizable/popular.
