The Extreme Gear is nice to see. But we won't know for sure if the _Riders_ gameplay will be returning until more details become available. We only have 1 teaser so far, and it's very vague. The Extreme Gear could very well be meant as a cute little nod and nothing more. When the teaser for _Team Sonic Racing_ was revealed, fans thought it was either going to be a remake or direct sequel to _Sonic R_ because the "R" in the title was styled the same way. That being said, if it's confirmed that the _Riders_ gameplay is coming back in this game, I think it would be neat to choose between the kart style or Extreme Gear style before starting a race.

What I think could happen is world 1 and its track is cars world 2 is hoverboards world 3 is helicopters etc we know it says you will be racing across land, sea, air, space and time. I also hope we get lots of sonic game characters possibly jet, storm, wave, gadget as well, a few IDW comic characters like tangle, whisper, lanolin, surge, kit, mimic, would love if we got prime characters as well.

Bro I love your content and as much as I want this to happen I don’t see how this could functionally work. The All Stars Racing and Riders formula is too intricate and different to be combined into one. We’ll see what happens but I highly doubt that they’ll somehow include it

I don’t see it being anything but sonic characters but there is a easy way to make the hoverboards work we know we are racing across land, sea, air, space and time. We will be going to different universes so world 1 is cars world 2 is hoverboards world 3 is helicopters.

Even if they come back, it’ll probably in a basic racing game format without anything unique. No cool trick system, no gas system, no speed, flight, power system. It’ll just be cart mechanics with ur player on a extreme gear. Yeah its cool to see but its also about the feel about the gameplay.

I loved the racing games growing up. I remember playing sonic riders whenever I could when my cousin would visit or playing racing transformed. I think we should wait until we get some sort of concrete gameplay first before we pull the corks on Riders gameplay being in this new game, for all we know it could just be a simple nod/reference to the riders games in this trailer and that's all. (Remember the team sonic racing teaser where the teaser the logo where it only showed the letter 'R' in the logo and everyone thought it was some sort of revival of Sonic R, and then gameplay came out and was actually just more kart racing) BTW, i'm not hating at all and i would love for the kart racing series and hoverboard racing series to crossover in one game, but let's just wait and see.

I don’t think we should be getting our hopes up for riders Sega has commonly had false marketing in their games (5 island frontiers) and the “proof” we have is so limited and able to gloss over. It could just decoration or something… it also seems like something that would be revealed in the teaser??? It’d be odd for it to have riders stuff. This feels like speculation of what fans hopes for than the game. Than what actually proof of what could happen

I would love an explanation for why the riders board is there that isn’t just plain stupid. Sega’s not run by some super villain who’s plotting to disappoint everyone. They wouldn’t put something like this in the teaser (not only that but the thumbnail for the teaser) just for decoration (mainly cus who tf hangs a skateboard on the wall and covers it in a dirty sheet as a decoration). Also the ‘false marketing’ that tends to get mentioned like, barely even counts as false marketing (frontiers technically did have five islands, even if one of them was just the second half of Kronos) like it’s definitely misleading but I don’t think they’ve ever just outright lied, this would be like if they showed a completely new 5th island with a new theme in frontiers’ marketing, and then it just wasn’t in the game

Its not, name a single game racing game that has two vastly different control schemes.. (keybinding doesn't count) Even if we got Extreme gears it's still gonna be Sonic trying to be Mario.. which Is not Sonic's Strong suit.. The original Sonic riders was great because it wasn't trying to Mario Kart, so it was way more enjoyable then every other mascot racer on the market.. because learning how to play Sonic Riders and master the Skill curve was an incredible feeling..

I would love if this is true, but i also hope this leads to a modern standalone sonic riders in the future. Plus, next year is the 35th sonic anniversary. If this game comes out this year, they could push out a sonic riders game that will have the 35th anniversary the same way the original sonic riders had the 15th year anniversary on the box

Hey I'm gonna be honest I miss Sonic Riders to Death but unless there is more proof then what is being speculated in the Video it's gonna be hard regardless to know if Sonic Riders as a Method has returned. That 2nd trailer tho maybe if anything I wouldn't be surprised if they try to hint that Extreme Gear will be used in the new racing game but only when we get a release trailer just straight up saying Extreme Gear has returned.
