I like how Nights does not need a band nor a guage, yet they still give them one.

Actually, Nights' "band" is on his chest where his gem usually is. Yes, he/him were the pronouns that Sega originally gave Nights, and this is from someone who referred to Nights with she/her pronouns because I thought since Nights is genderless, the gender was up to the player who sees him/her/it/them.
