I absolutely hate how slow everyone is in this SONIC game. It's still super disappointing because they could've made it fast, but decided to make it as slow as all the other fall guys ripoffs, and somehow slower than stumble guys

They did increase their speed in phase 2 a little. They do look like they running faster. Compare to phase 1.

You wont be able to react to obstacles and platforming will be hard with like 10 other people on the same platform and pushing you. Also there are powerups to make you go faster and there are automated segments.
