Sonic SatAM | Title Card | Orchestral ReJuice

A ReJuice (remake) of the 'Title Card' theme from Sonic SatAM.
I am not the original composer of this cue. That would be Michael Tavera.
There's no sheet music available so I had to recreate each instrument's part by ear as best as I could.

It's very similar! The original composer was working on the back of the future cartoon roughly around the same time. The source of inspiration is quite obvious :) I've actually been thinking of making a video comparing the two

Yea! The chord progression used in this cue you have heard a TON. It's ubiquitous in TV/Film/Games as a victorious fanfare, more specifically in games like Mario, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Sonic, Smash Bros, etc etc. It's not at all surprising that one would take away that vibe.

You're right, its pretty darn close to the B2tF theme. However there are some differences, which has lead me to say that it took heavy inspiration rather than directly ripped it off, similar to Star wars and The Planets

@@f0xshadow521 It's actually just made by the same composer around the same time period. Happens all the time with composers, actually. From what I understand composers get these melodies stuck in their heads after using them so they rewrite them to use it again to get it out of their system. Pretty common.

That's because it was cut off! If you find the original title card music, it fades in into the middle of the riff. The beginning part you hear here is my own interpretation of what I think the beginning would sound like. :)

Ah yes, I know them. Their vision for the game is a more SNES-style representation, which isnt my strength, but I do get to help out occasionally: we exchange notes (no pun intended) and ideas. AND I had the privilege of doing an orchestral version of the main menu music recently. Was fun!
