What source material are you referring to? As far as the game's lore goes, nothing is further elaborated in cutscenes, as you can see in this video. If there's some kind of comic, them I guess it's out of sphere of awareness. And as far as the official Sonic universe lore goes, Flame Emeralds don't exist in the first place. 😅

The Story its from the Events of Sonic Cd Before Sonic 2.

Unlikely. Flame Emeralds are not Time Stones, there's no Little Planet, etc. Sure, there's Metal Sonic, but that's all there is. In my opinion, if it was ever canonized, it would be the post-Sonic 2 alternate universe.

Apparently Burning Sonic roasts Eggman's ass so savagely that, as an aftermath, the whole South Island becomes chill forever and ever. The end. ))) But yeah, jokes aside, the hack definitely shows serious potential, it's a shame it wasn't finished.
