I'm conflicted. I mostly side with Sonic. The movie, as a movie, was P mid. Definately weaker than even Sonic movie 1 (let alone the sequel) because at least I felt like it had something to say. However, I DO agree with some of Sonic's points about how it doesn't even try to be a pure movie experience. It's a MARIO movie. A nostalgia-filled acid trip that just focuses on being entertaining. I also like how Sonic tried his best to prevent Sonic and Sonic from entering a fight with each other. Also, Sonic was there by the end. It's always nice to see Sonic.

Man the AI voices are actually pretty good. Especially Ryan and Jasons voice. Maby im crazy but i can see that this could be used to create voice lines for other sonic games and put them in as a mod.

Someone has done that within a matter of a few days or so ago, actually! There's a mod now on GameBanana for SA2 where Jason's Sonic voice was AI Generated and put over Sonic's dialogue in the cutscenes. His Shadow voice isn't there though, meaning Shadow's voice is still David Humphrey, aka unchanged from how it is in the vanilla game.

Random thing I noticed while testing voice clips in the AI: If you use SA2 clips for Ryan he sounds a lot more like Ryan and more sensible, but if you use Heroes clips he sounds like an overly aggressive freak in my opinion, which is perfect for this video.

I saw it at 6:30 on April 5th. It is, in fact, better than the first Sonic movie. I LOVED the references and cameos. The story was fun and the humor didn't leave TOO much to be desired. Overall, it's a 9/10 for me.
