Some things to point out: The Breakout reference in Sky Temple Zone is much more likely to be a reference to Woody Pop for the Master System, since that was an actual game made by SEGA, and it had varied designs for each stage just like in Sonic Superstars One of the mech parts in the Battle Mode is a battle helmet, it is much likely a reference to Death Adder's helmet, Death Adder is Golden Axe's main antagonist And as an extra, not really a game, but Golden Capital is almost entirely based around one of Sonic 1's concept arts, including even the same loops with a sun on the top, the Rabbit skin is also based around one of Sonic's concept arts

12:52 While the purple moon in Sonic Superstars is somewhat supposed to be a reference to The End from Sonic Frontiers, it was later stated by Ian Flynn that the purple moon in Superstars isn't The End.

Ian Flynn said that he THINKS it isn't The End, but he doesn't truly know because he wasn't involved with Sonic Superstars development, especially not with modeling or concept arting Egg Fortress He said it was just his guess and that it couldn't have been The End due to it having being sealed and because there is another "blue moon" on the background of Frozen Base Act 2 As far as we know, it could be literally be anything, another moon, The End's shell that was not locked in Cyberspace even though its "soul" was locked in there, etc.

What are you confused about exactly? If it is about the reference being included in Sonic Superstars, not at all, Fantasy Zone is a game published by SEGA and Opa-Opa was their previous mascot prior to Alex Kidd and Sonic

@@BR-jw7pm Oh, well, then I'm still not confused by it aswell, throughout the game you have references to Woody Pop, a SEGA game released for the Master System, NiGHTS, from the NiGHTS into Dreams franchise, Death Adder, from the Golden Axe franchise, and we've always had those type of gimmick levels in the classic games, I think this level in specific is supposed to be like Sky Chase or Mirage Salloon Act 1 from Sonic 2 and Sonic Mania, which are Tornado Auto-scroller stages
