Sonic Superstars - Full Game Longplay - This is one of the most dissapointing Sonic games ever...

I went into this with no expectations and came away extremely dissapointed. Here's my first playthrough of the full game for Sonic Superstars played on a PS5. WARNING: I curse a lot in this stream.

I think you had a strong misconception of the multiplayer. You kept saying the main selling point was the online multiplayer, but no, the most heavily advertised part was the *local co op* Also your opinion of the music is pretty much the opposite of what most fans are saying. That's wild, not liking the Tee Lopes tracks. Or Mania in general. It's unfortunate that you didn't like the level design. How do you feel about Sonic CD's level design? I tend to like replaying unconventional levels to see what the vision was and to create a good flow through them. Incidentally, that's what I recently did for Press Factory which you seemed to really dislike. I'm also surprised by how much you enjoyed Forces. It's *too* straightforward and simplistic for me, I couldn't enjoy it. I like games with complexity, and Superstars delivered because I can try to think my way through the levels. You said this game was essentially Sonic 4 Episode 3, and that couldn't be further from the truth. The physics of Superstars are nearly identical to the Genesis games. That was a selling point to *contrast* with the abysmal physics of Sonic 4. The movement is what makes Superstars 10 times better. And like I mentioned earlier, Superstars level design is more complex. If you want more Fang, he's the final boss of Trip's story. I think it's an excellent challenge. Your complaints about the bosses are a bit misguided, most of them can actually be significantly sped up with the emerald powers. Not required, but encouraged and very useful. That was another selling point. Also they already take less hits than in the original games.

The final phase gets a little more manageable when you realize you can hit it during the anti gravity portions. But it’s still pretty ridiculous. Not as bad as Trip’s final boss or the dragon, though. Oh yeah this game fumbles even worse than this with its final bosses. Fang’s giant mech has a pretty regularly used attack where it tosses instant death lasers at you. The super Sonic boss, aka the dragon depends on when Tails and Knuckes show up to drop rings. Maybe you’ll have enough, maybe you won’t. All up to chance. Oh and it goes on forever
