I HATED it when they would do that. So misleading! Yet so nostalgic LOL. I remember seeing the Sonic 3 Tiger Hand Held advertised in a paper catalogue back in the day and the screen showed a black & white version of what I THINK was Marble Garden Zone. Awesome commercial, but Sega tried so hard to be better than SNES but still failed miserably. Sega might have blast processing, but it lost so bad to Nintendo with colors, gameplay, controls, sound quality, amount of actual good games etc. Gunstar heroes, Castlevania bloodlines and Sonic 2 and 3 were the only good games on Sega what comes to sound, controls and gameplay.

Sega was damn near a Nintendo IP by PS2. Back in the day the games were basically Gamecube exclusives, with the occasional scraps fed to Sony and Microsoft. Nowadays they're a free agent, releasing games like Mania on all platforms.
