This has to be one of the most impressive Sonic 2 hacks I have seen. What blows me away the most is that they got water levels working in split screen. There is a lot to love with this one. I can't wait for the full version

Just played this hack on my genesis today and it is absolutely stunning! The sprite scaling, smooth special stages, along with the custom music tracks are all amazing. It really adds replay value for someone who’s played Sonic 2 hundreds of times and gives you a good reason to play with a friend!

It's a fantastic hack, no doubt about it and it's a contest winner in my eyes, come on Makey Jester was involved. The only minor gripe I have with this hack is that they used the inferior Sonic 3 & Knuckles sound driver instead of something like Clownacy's Sonic 2 Cloned V2 driver or an updated Sonic 2 sound engine. The drum samples are really scratchy in this hack, more so than base Sonic 2. But of course everything else is positive.

It's nice to see a hack I am a small part of receive such a positive reception. I'm glad people seem to be enjoying the demo. Some of the unfortunate bugs here are already being looked into, and we're hoping for a much smoother experience next time.

I found this to be the most interesting hack in this Hacking Contest, some bugs are present in the emulator, but on the original hardware they disappear.
