Been listening to this for a good while now, and I always felt that this wasn't a battle theme. This sounds like a CREDITS theme or ending theme. And I only just now read the description and realized that's exactly what you were going for. Amazing work. This is my favorite Sonic cover of all time.

In my opinion, The only bad thing about Sonic 06 was how rushed it was. The story was great, The graphics were the best they had been at that point and The characters of Sonic Shadow and Silver were written perfectly. If Sega had delayed this game to 2007 to work on it a bit more, We would’ve gotten one of the greatest games in Sonic history.
