Looking back, it’s still insane to believe that the filmmakers fixed Sonic’s design for the first movie. Huge credit goes to director Jeff Fowler and Tyson Hesse for redesigning Sonic. Not only did they save the movie from being disappointing, but they were able to make a sequel that was actually better and were now getting a 3rd movie in 2024.

Seeing the amount of care they put into the movie from its initial conception to now after seeing both films (sonic 1 and the recently released sonic 2) in theaters has been really enlightening to see a studio the size of paramount really stop for a moment to question the quality of their product with an IP as large as sonic. I love the baseball scene in this trailer, does a great job capturing sonics personality (or at least the sonic in this movie which is a great character, cocky but not egotistical, very likable on screen and well written actually). Sonic 2 was incredibly faithful to the world of classic sonic, and I’m very excited to see what they do going forward. Great work, paramount.

Coming back after 3 years later, and this still makes me happy, that we had a full on redesign of sonic in a live action movie. And I’m thankful that we and I got a live action movie because as a kid I always wanted one, though I was more asking for a Roger rabbit style but That doesn’t matter anymore because this movie took the cake for live action films. Detective Pikachu was a close second but this was just awesome. Sonic the comeback king right here. All loves to who made this happen
