Would be funny if he ended up helping somehow, after all they need "the help of you know who to stop Shadow" according to the trailer... That may be how he helps, by creating a second Sonic because there's still only one Shadow (then reprogram the bot to be Sonic's rival for 4rt movie of course) That could be interesting if Metal gets sonic abilities because of cooperation from Sonic, like training together or date collection during his fabrication. That would also give an excuse for Metal to be slightly stronger than Sonic next movie if Shadows's battle data are thrown in the mix.

Actually the Biolizard is the to first and last final boss in Sonic adventure 2 last story. The Final boss is called the Final Hazard where is has merged with the Space Colony ARK and grow out of the tip of the Eclipse Cannon like some kind of tumor.

Wasn't it point of fact in the Ova the "Hyper" metal Sonic had all of Sonic's "Life data" installed into him? And the comics definitely had some of the later "marks" have data from previous fights he could draw from. If the theories pans out and Eggman, in a future film, actually makes a Metal sonic out from the readings he has of that quill, it'd actually be somewhat canon, and an iteresting format to be.

Honestly I can see a lot of these outcomes. One way or another, robotnik is already established as having a Jones for Sonic's quills/powers. So much so in the first film he harnesses the power of a single quill to power his ship and match Sonic's speed. Metal sonic being designed with the quill as a power supply, or a base to transfer power from sonic into metal sonic in any parts, makes sense..... Especially if they bring back the chaos emeralds. And also do the sonic/shadow super mode double team
