@@darthvaderdylan It's more so he wants Shadow to not be so 100% righteous like Sonic would be. Shadow is realistic. He's a hero, but he's morally gray. He will kill. Shadow will protect people because Maria wanted him to. But if you piss Shadow off and you prove you're not his friend, just kiss your ass goodbye. He doesn't normally give chances to people. He's very solo-oriented and isn't really here to make friends. Shadow in Adventure 2 is the true way Shadow is meant to be. All the stuff that came after was a result of his memory loss. That interview was his denial of Shadow being like Vegeta. But also, let's be real. He's saying this cause the Sonic creators always get accused of ripping off elements from Dragon Ball. Like the seven emeralds = seven dragon balls, super sonic = super saiyan, Sonic = Goku, Shadow = Vegeta, Silver = Trunks, the list goes on. So yeah, they'll say whatever to be like " do not associate us with dragon ball " cause otherwise Toei starts peaking.

Eggman and sonic teamed up in sonic adventure 2. Shadow debuted in that very game where he had a backstory related to losing his friend Maria who was the nephew of eggmans granddad Gerald Robotnik who was a scientist who created shadow. There were no shadow with guns on sa2. There's a ton of references in the trailer that you wong get if you havent played that game. For example,just before the "what have you done" part there is some kind of store with tons of chao memorabilia, the sonic during the second part of the trailer is a cover of the song "live and learn" from sonic adventure 2.

If I'm not tripping, Maria was fully Gerald's granddaughter, and so was Ivo - they're cousins, Ivo is just younger. It's then reasonable to assume that the reason movie Ivo was orphaned (as he says in the first movie) was as a consequence of Gerald being deemed a traitor. At least that's my theory, I could be wrong, but it'd give some fun background to his upbringing.

It's basically a matter of whether or not Metal Sonic is in the Movie as part of the final fight or whether his initial reveal is in the post credits scenes. My guess is the former, Metal Sonic is then defeated in the final fight and one of the post credits scenes reveals that Metal Sonic is still active.

Shadow actually, showed up first in Sonic Adventure 2 and his ark extended somewhat in Sonic Heroes, and then was revolutionized and completed in Shadow the Hedgehog. Which was the game that he wielded guns. He was actually well received in Sonic Adventures 2, but the reason his game alone wasn't well received, was because of how long it was. Also, the man that we see at the end of the trailer with Eggman, is Gerald Robotnik, Eggmans grandfather. Also, I thought I'd never see a big time action actor like Keanu Reaves voice a video game character like Shadow from Sonic, but damn it, it's perfect because Reaves has the perfect voice tone for a character like Shadow.

@@LoLTerminus Na, adding Chaos to this movie would be too much. Plus Chaos deserves his own movie. I was hoping we'd get a Chaos movie before Shadow. What I think is gonna happen is that Shadow and Gerald are preparing to blow up the planet with the Eclipse Cannon to avenge Maria. Eggman helps at first, but as soon as he realizes what their plan is, he teams up with Sonic to save his burgers. I'm not sure how they're gonna bring Shadow to their side. Maybe Sonic is gonna talknojutsu and trigger Shadow's memory of Maria asking him to forgive and protect mankind. When Gerald loses both Eggman and Shadow, he'll surprise them by revealing the Biolizard.

So let me tell you what ACTUALLY happened. Shadow debuted in the game Sonic Adventure 2, aka Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on GameCube. In the game, there is a yin-yang thing between him and Sonic. And he was really slick and really popular. So popular that he became a regular character. A few years later, he got his own game, which is the game where he has guns and the game was really weird. People didn’t really like the game that much but they like the character. Although nowadays, people look back on the game fondly for some reason.

So two things to comment on 1. You asked if Dr. Robotnik ever teamed up with Sonic. WELLL... they teamed up for the first time in a mainline Sonic game in the game Shadow first appeared, Sonic Adventure 2. It wasn't against Shadow though. 2. Shadow actually didn't first appear using guns. His first appearance in Sonic Adventure 2 was supposed to be his last but he actually was immediately well received by fans and they brought him back....... and put him in his own game in which he had the guns.

My only problem of this trailer is Shadow vs Knuckles, Knuckles has always shown to be a problem for Shadow he had to go all out on him respectfully. Even in both comics and games they almost think of each other as warriors, Knuckles and Shadow is one of the most powerful characters and Knuckles proven to be up there given how he caused an earthquake and shook the universe in his super form. But anyways this trailer is amazing deserved an award, and I'm glad Dr. Egg man is back again.

I don't think its really a problem. If you look at what happens here, Shadow doesn't overpower Knuckles, he just outsmarts him and surprises him. Knuckles is taken off guard because he rushed in to play a fair fight, which Shadow isn't doing in this moment. He teleports in (completely taking Knuckles off guard) and rather than overpowering Knuckles, he simply twists Knuckles wrist suddenly to hurt him and launches him away. In an actual hand-to-hand fight Knuckles would still be the stronger of the two, but Shadow's teleportation allows him to catch Knuckles completely off guard. Once they know how to fight Shadow it'll be a bit easier for them to go toe-to-toe with him.

Hey, guys, here's some trivia! Sonic and Eggman have teamed up 5, 6, or more times in the main series including the IDW comics. (Highly recommend reacting to Adrenaline Dubs' videos on it if you haven't touched those yet. All you need to know is that they fill the gap between Sonic Forces released in 2017 and Sonic Frontiers released a while ago.) But the thing about all of these alliances is that they are PURELY out of desperation on one side or the other (usually Eggman's the desperate one and is just in it for himself lol).

In the games, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the hedgehog, Sonic 06, Sonic Lost World and Sonic Frontiers. Sonic and Robotnik team up whenever there's a threat bigger than themselves. Usually it's a means to an end. In Sonic Adventure, Adventure 2 and 06, it's to fix whatever mess Robotnik made. In Sonic lost world, it was to seize control of a device, Robotnik turned on sonic in the end. In Sonic Frontiers they put their differences aside to stop a world ending threat

Admittedly, it only happens in the "Last Story" and only for literally the end of the game. The rest of the game they are on opposite sides, but ironically, Shadow is actually working with Eggman in SA2, whereas Gerald was dead and only appeared in flashbacks. So they are changing up a lot from the original SA2.

Shadow the Hedgehog as a game was made because people loved Shadow from Sonic Adventure 2 and his role in Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog was not well received. He didn't even use guns until Shadow the Hedgehog, and he ONLY used guns in Shadow the Hedgehog. I mean, I get it, you're probably not that familiar with the series, but maybe read up a bit more beforehand. Sonic Adventure 2 game out in 2001, Shadow the Hedgehog came out in 2005. Actually I'm surprised the two games were only four years apart.

I low-key wish I could get the part from Sonic Adventures 2 in the movie when Amy hugs Shadow from behind thinking it's Sonic, and he has that " I'm about to kill you, if you don't get off me " on his face. But that won't happen.
