After introducing time travel via Sonic CD elements, you can have Silver be the end credit scene. But if they’re doing heroes, how are they gonna introduce so many characters in one movie?

The Sonic movies are just getting better and better. Movie 1 was fine for a video game movie adaptation and played it a bit safe. Sonic 2 went somewhere and showed us what it could do if we let them cook, and Sonic 3 absolutely knocked it out of the park. Mario was my favorite video game based movie, until Sonic 3 came out. Now I don't know which one I prefer. And I feel great to be able to love all these movies.

My only problem with incorporating time travel into Sonic 4 is that it'll make the (potential) story of Sonic 5, if it truly introduces Silver & is based on the Sonic 2006 game, redundant. Though I suppose the plots would be different enough, two movies in a row where time travel is the main focal point leaves me somewhat skeptical. Also the fact that Amy is from the future is slightly off-putting, as it means she can't hang out with the rest of the gang much, only making occasional appearances when she's needed (similar to how Silver and Blaze are in the games).

I would be surprised if we didn't get something time travel related since it's seems to be going the CD route, then again the movies can do whatever they want. CD and Heroes is where my head is at, with OVA references. We haven't even gotten Rouge yet, I feel like she should be introduced before Silver personally. Also, like how we only had Shadow in the 3rd movie I don't think they would overshadow Amy by bringing someone else in. HOWEVER, maybe Sonic 4 will plant the seeds for Silver in the future.

They could find a way to sneak silver in since the iblis is already set up in the movie worse. It could be their way of doing Silver's storyline without doing all the princess storyline stuff. I think it's too soon to introduce Silver. I think he should be saved for the 5th film. I believe Sonic 4 is going to be a loose adaptation of both Sonic CD and Sonic Heroes. And while it's true that Shadow did not appear in Sonic CD, he did, however, appear in Sonic Heroes; and Metal Sonic was the main villain of that game.

I think they may not adapt CD as the game's story was just Sonic 1's and how with these movies they just wanna keep upping the anti. So I think the Silver time plot with 06 would make more sense then the Amy solo adventure would. As it would be the same issue as Tails in Sonic 2 where because they couldn't redo the first movies story but with Tails so they needed Knuckles to raise the stakes.

I forget. Is Sonic 4 in 2026 or 2027? Cause 2026 is Sonic 06's 20th anniversary and Sega has a chance to pull off the biggest redemption in history. Just make P-06 into an official game. The work's already done. My crazy ass headcanon was, seeing as we already have an army of Metal Sonics, the big bad ends up being Mecha Sonic and this somehow leads to a Mario crossover where we get Super Mario Bros. Z on the big screen. More realistically, yeah, they'll likely combine CD and 06. Granted, considering they already scrapped the Iblis stuff and just added it to the Knuckles show, we're definitely not getting Mepiles. Sorry, Mephiles. No returning to the timeline for you.

Hopefully it adapts Sonic CD and uses the Time Stones instead. Sonic 2006 is pretty meh, IMO. Would rather see Little Planet and all that. Fun fact, Sonic 2 was supposed to have time travel too but it was scrapped during development. Sonic CD is probably the best Sonic game of the original era, pre-Adventure.

Not this situation that leads to disappointment again!!!!!! It's just like what was happening last time of soo many people thinking that Amy was going to be in Sonic 3 just because she was in SA2. Paramount scrapped the idea of having her be in that movie because they knew that she would get overshadowed and not get any character justice because it was Shadow's time to shine. Sonic 4 is the time for Amy and Metal Sonic to shine, so Silver would get overshadowed and not get any character justice in that movie so it's more likely that they will have him be in the mid-credits scene so that he can shine and get justice by being able to play a big role in Sonic 5. Also may they stop with this thing of only choosing celebrities and just do what they did to Tails which was cast in in-game VAs instead! Silver should be voiced by Pete Capella (his original English Sonic 06 VA) because played that role really well with the voice that he gave Silver, not some celebrity person.
