Oh boy, not a good prank to play with someone who can’t swim and is extremely terrified of water. 😅Well good thing Shadow and Silver apologised, otherwise they probably would of got Amy’s hammer XD. All I will say is Poor sonic.🥺

Sonic in this comic is literally me when I go swimming because I don’t really know how to swim and my siblings try to take me far away where I don’t feel the ground so I can learn how to swim and I start freaking out and lose trust in them😰

Gotta be honest: in the long term I came to hate Sonic's inability to swim. Not only because the fact it makes the water levels annoying, but mainly for the fact that SEGA keeps this weakness of him for the mere meme factor, and that is really annoying to me. I mean Rayman couldn't swim in the first game and then he could from the second onward; Spyro couldn't swim in the first game and he learned by the second one; Ellie couldn't swim in TLOU Part 1 and then she learned during the gap between the second game; Raz thought he was cursed with water until he found out it was fake so water is not a danger for him anymore and now he's learning to swim. See? Any character can overcome this weakness if the creators wanted, but for Sonic they're just stubborn to keep it just for the online memes of it, and I really hate it. Weaknesses are meant to be overcome, not to be an instrument to laugh of a character, that's why with the time I learned to hate Sonic's inability to swim. And sadly this will never change...

I kind of like when characters have their "kryptonite" to an extent. It's semi realistic because we all have that one fear that we dread even if that fear is "irrational" in some cases. It makes Sonic seem more human (metaphorically) that he has all this charisma, power and bravery but is noticeably scared and halted by deep water. Sometimes even the strongest people have cracks in their armor you'd never expect. As someone who came very close to drowning to death at the young age of 11 I kind of "get" Sonic not liking deep water. It's scary being in a place that seems directly opposed to your very existence. An action as common as breathing becomes impossible, simply moving takes more effort, your senses which we all rely on become severely dulled all around, sound becomes warped so you can barely even hear anything but your thoughts of your potential death and deep underwater the world just looks like a bluish/murky/or clear (depends of the kind of water) mess. That's absolutely terrifying if you've experienced it without the ability to swim. Sonic being afraid of water makes too much sense considering he was 15 in the first game...still kind of young and encountered an enviroment where the power that never failed him...stopped working immediately.

as someone who was taught to swim the "old school" way, aka: being thrown in the deep end and either figuring out which way was up or sinking.... this is really cruel. i know it's just a comic, but it's still not right and will only make sonic's fear of water worse... and he will definitely never trust silver and shadow around water or most likely in any other situation ever again. but sure, lol? 🙄what would've been funny is amy taking her hammer to both silver and shadow's head for that idiocy they just pulled. now that would be some lol.
