Illegal instruction slows down the cpu, which causes the deep pitched sega. Edit: If anyone wants to know the amount it slows If u have a 3ghz cpu and illegal instruction occurs it will drop to 2ghz - 440khz

0:04 here's where sonic's purgatory starts, sonic's corpse was splattered across the ground after an encounter with eggman went horribly wrong when his machine started malfunctioning, the next zones dont have sonic on sight because its actually sonic's ghost haunting the areas, he's losing connection with the living world, explaining the glitchy look. 4:25 eggman actually took sonic's body to the hospital, but the machine flatlined on him, losing the chance of sonic's ghost reconnecting with mobius or his physical body for good. 0:40 sonic descends to hell. Many corruptions on vid are essentially sonic being trapped on an eternal purgatory, the game crashes happen whenever the cameraman is caught filming without lucifer's permission, being an "illegal instruction", some parts of the recordings are also VIP-only so some of the footage has to be purposefully cut short.
