Technically, one could argue literally all of his sentient (?) creations are his kids. Seems like the Archie Comics (where Modern Eggman is 100% Classic Robotnik) had him directly call at least a few recurring bots his "son" or "daughter," so the concept isn't that out there.

Sage isn't really evil, per se. She's hostile towards Sonic, but that's mostly due to her following Eggman's orders. Nothing about her in isolation really screams "pure evil"
