My brothers played an acoustic cover of Starlight Zone at my wedding when my wife and I were walking down the aisle. Good thing you never played Sonic with your gf. The worst thing you can ever do in a relationship is share your favorite music, movies and games with her. It'll take you weeks to years to ever enjoy them again.
@CravensBen4 жыл бұрын
@@rhelferstay This seems like kind of a “take no risks and live a small life” kind of approach, which typically proves to be ultimately unsatisfying. One of the most fulfilling things about a relationship (to me) is sharing your favorite things! If you brought those passions into a relationship, you can carry them out, too! These things enthralled and inspired us for a reason all our own, often far before our significant others came along. While these things might remind you of that person and the grief of losing them for a while, your passion for that creation shouldn’t have died with that relationship. And if you’re looking for them, there will be another person who comes along and enjoys your passions with you as well (or better) than any previous partner. Breakups suck, but it’s even worse when one’s inspirations die with the relationship. We miss out on a lot of huge things in life when we let exes take our passions! ♥️
@rhelferstay4 жыл бұрын
@@CravensBen Yeah but if those "passions" are a coping mechanism, like for him it was Sonic, for myself it was favorite music and movies, when you turn to them after a devastating end of a relationship, it just digs you into a deeper hole and it may take a long time to ever regain that same level of joy when indulging in those "passions". Relationships don't require your partner to like everything that you do, I've found those are the relationships that never last. Because if all your interests are the exact same, chances are many of your faults are exactly the same and that tends to lead to an explosive end.
