Notes from Thomas about this arrangement:
With all the times Sonic the Hedgehog has gone to space, I might have been stretching the space theme of this album a bit by including a track that isn’t actually in space. Oh well! This track offers the challenge of fleshing out a simple A-B form piece into a full-fledged concert arrangement, and we get there by tossing the melody around to various soloists; first on trumpet, later to trombone, then horn, before going into a straight-ahead orchestration of the original track. We squeeze a lot of variation by treating the melody in various styles, from a lyrical solo treatment to a more triumphant fanfare… and also by sneaking in another Sonic music quote near the end!
