The animation was janky at times and the plot felt constantly rushed, but you cant hate it at all. I do really wish they had the time to finish off the show and give it the conclusion it deserved. You can tell the comics bounced off of it a little for plot. I do wish this was canon, Sonia and Manic were interesting characters that dont deserve to be wasted.

Sonia and Manic truly deserves a 2nd chance to get retooled and reintroduce to a newer audience and with Movie Sonic being a thing, hopefully will get a chance reboot of them In the future and hey; since Sonic' Guitatr was referenced In Sonic Boom I don't see why not give this series another chance If some still remember.

I'll be honest, while Sonic Underground never compared to the SATAM adaptation for Sonic the Hedgehog (which was amazing imo 9.5/10), I still enjoyed it for the most part. The main thing I didn't like about this show was, ironically, that they always had to have songs in the episodes. I'm a guy where I don't mind if there's an occasional song every couple episodes, but I'm more in for the story and action. For example, Disney movies are able to balance out song and story most of the time, hence why I enjoy them. Not to mention, a lot of the songs and Disney movies are very catchy. I just feel like Sonic Underground went a tad overboard with the songs. And all of this wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that many of the songs were just straight-up not that memorable. If you're going to put a song in every single episode, you should at least put some effort into it and make it memorable. I remember seeig many Disney movies when I was 5 - 9 years old, fast forward over a decade later, and I'm STILL humming songs like "Be Prepared" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls" in my head (I've always liked the villain songs better tbh). With Sonic Underground, I completely forgot the songs nearly 30 seconds after they happened, they were so forgettable. Also, I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I found out they never found their mother in the end. That was literally the main reason I continued watching the show at all, because I wanted to see what would happen if they found her and how they would overthrow Robotnik. Also, anybody know what happened to Dingo after that one episode where he betrayed Sleet and Robotnik and accidentally swallowed the Chaos Emerald? All I remember was that Robotnik said he was going to robot-icize him and that was the last episode I ever saw. Idk, this show left so many questions unanswered, and that was my biggest problem with it in the end besides the songs. Overall, I'd give this show a 6.5/10. Great concept, but the execution could be better.

As a young kid I loved this show and I remember playing Sonic Underground on the school playground with me pretending to be Manic and my best friend at the time pretending to be Sonic or Sonia depending on what mood she was in. To date I still have a soft spot for the show and I think the premise had a lot of potential; it was just poorly executed. I think its biggest flaw was that it had a set starting point (Queen Aleena being forced to give up her children for the sake of fulfilling a prophecy) and a set end point (Sonic and his siblings reuniting with their mother and bringing down Robotnik), but there wasn't any set plan for how to get from point A to point B. This left the show feeling more like a standalone episode of the week type of show masquerading as a show with a continuous storyline, rather than a show that actually had a continuous storyline that would playout over the episodes. I'm guessing they did this so that they could try and keep the show going for as long as possible, rather than having a set number of episodes for when the show would end. I would love for this show to get a reboot, but with the story being fully planned out in advance... ... ... and maybe cutting out the songs, they weren't great, or at the very least make the songs be better written, tie in better with the episodes, and actually be used to move the episodes forward, rather than feeling like a "and now we shall stop the episode so we can have a song" kind of moment. Even if the show is never rebooted, which I very much doubt it will be, I'd love for Manic and Sonia to be brought more into the Sonic franchise. I wouldn't even mind if SEGA scrapped the idea of them being royalty; it'd just be nice to see them in future games, cartoons, movies etc. They technically could bring them into the new live-action movies considering I don't think we have any real backstory for Sonic from before he was adopted by Longclaw.

Sonic Underground wasn’t a weird cartoon! Yes, we all know it’s not like SatAM (Which i love as well btw) But underground did have its flaws but i thought it was awesome!. It was fantastic finally knowing Sonic’s Mother and it was awesome Sonic has Siblings! I thought it was a fantastic show! But i would have liked to know who Sonic’s father was. We know his name as Jules the Hedgehog and it was rumoured he left Queen Aleena after a big argument before the triplets were born and wanted to live a life of travelling and living care free.
