the second to last episode, im sure she revealed herself to the three saying how proud she was or something. I deffo remember her from afar watching over them. Theres one episode where she saved the daughter, and she is all "mother? It was mother that saved me!" And the three were searching for her. Robotnik was following them, to track her down. In the end it turned out to be a random woman in a red cape, they all seperate, then their mother thanks the woman for lying to her kids with the green seeing creature saying its still too soon.

I mean people knock on it for multiple reasons but in the long run this show got made when Sega was like "make a new show!" after SATAM was sacked. They basically retooled elements from that show and made a new one, while Sega was doing the redesigns for Sonic Adventure 1-2. It also got pushed into crappy timeslots. I really wish it had been completed though. Jaleel White voicing the entire central 3 hedgehogs was pretty great (and amusing).

Sonic Underground (1/6th/1999 - 5/23rd/1999) - I currently have volumes 1 & 2 of this series on dvd made by Shout! Factory. Lasted for only 1 Season, 40 Episodes & 40 songs in total then the show ended up being cancelled in the late 1990's era before it was completed due to low popularity, budget & ratings but still think it's an awesome show & it needs to make a season two comeback with thrilling new episodes for an epic finale so that the hedgehog royal trio of sonic, manic & sonia can be reunited with their long-lost mother Queen Aleena to fulfill the prophecy of the council of four & finally defeating robotink to restore peace on planet mobius & have a real true ending of this animated series. 7. 3 / out of 10 is the rating I'm giving to this criminally underrated show. There were supposed to be 65 episodes of this series but unfortunately 40 was actually produced at the very beginning. This show deserves a lot more attention along with Sonic SatAm (9/18th/1993 - 12/3rd/1994) that debut on 6-ABC Saturday Mornings then it re-surfaced & re-aired on the USA Network's Action Extreme Team Block around 6/1997 until 1/1998.

I know nobody will read this in its entirety, but I just want to write all about why Manic is the best character in Underground. Manic is my favorite by a Mobius mile for many reasons. He was just an absolute troll of a man while still having a big heart and care for his sibs, mom, and adopted dad. Also, that time when he was the best dad to a fake baby was another wholesome side of him. Besides Sonia, Manic is the only character to cry more than once. More than once did he of all people try to cheer up or embrace Sonia when she was down on the dumps. He was often the quiet one when the sibs argued. Manic was also the only one who was physically and in ghost form touched by Aleena. When he was humbled by seeing how awesome the other sibs powers were, he thought he'd be in their way. But he didn't quit, he discovered how valuable his thieving and mechanical skills and drumset were. Manic and Sonia were both well fleshed out characters. Manic learned how to accept Sonia even though she lived among the haughty rich folks funding Robotnik. Sonia accepted Manic as well despite viewing him as this lowlife thief in the beginning and the two got along better than they did with Sonic. Move aside Sonic, my main Manic man is #1. 🫡
