An even better way to play: Maxing out the Wherehog’s XP and keeping Modern Sonic’s XP as low as you’re comfortable with so that he’s not “too fast”, causing you to lose lives more often. Also, who else here has replayed this entire game (including Eggmanland) more than once? I played this game at least 3 and a half times by now (when I first bought it and didn’t complete it, then I replayed it when I was older. Then I was forced to play it again after accidentally deleting my previous save by choosing new game instead of continue. And finally I replayed it a while ago because nostalgia).

​@@poppedcherry4030by the way there's a glitch way to run generations at 720p on series x (by doing select and pause and go to Xbox one x settings and press performance) but it runs lower than 720p, it runs 880x720 whereas normal 720p is 1280x720

Sonic Unleashed is too good that in both of my playthrus from the first time playing it when I was 5 and now is a MINOR difference in gameplay. Unleashed was my first Sonic game. I remember when I played the demo of the Xbox version at a Walmart and loved it. When I eventually bought it, little did I know that the PS2/Wii version was the lesser of the two versions when I grabbed the one for PS2. I had a fun time with it but when I got the Xbox 360 version later down the line, I loved every second of playing it. Well, Eggmanland was hell and that one side mission from Shamar is still not completed to this day but everything else was a blast. Not to mention I loved Jason’s voice acting as Sonic in both forms, which also becomes more impressive when you consider he was sick at the time (don’t remember if it was a cold or strep throat but he said it was one of the two. He also mentioned how he basically almost fainted when he did that Werehog scream. That man is a legend.) Unleashed is still in my top 3 Sonic games list and you got me wanting to play it again after all this time.

I played this on PS2 first and loved the hell out of it, but as soon as i traded my PS2 for a Xbox 360 and got the game again I couldn't believe I was playing the same game. It was a literal game changer for the boy.

2:42 unfortunately, ots b/c of the werehog stages, people thought it was slow and a change of pace and the level design was bad, you had to do tedious stuff to pass the stage. And the sun and moon medals were a small problem too. Majority of the complaints werent all gameplay. It was just what the game was asking for.

As overhated this game was when it came out you can’t lie you had fun with this game. Unfortunately I didn’t own the game physically but I did emulate the game on my old tablet when I was younger it was so fun to play this game. You should hop on Smash Ultimate they have mods where you can play as silver with a custom moveset and a mod called sonic reimagined where his moveset is changed too. And they have custom victories.

Sadly, both Wii and PS2. PS2 was easier of the 2 sh*t ports but first time beating Unleashed was on Wii, but if I could experience PS3/360 again, I would. The only time I experienced 360/PS3 was a friend's copy. We got stuck halfway and that was it.
