If you look up 60 fps footage of the PS3 version you'll see the framerate keeps changing, sometimes reaching 60 fps. If anything, the PS3 version was capped at 60 fps which was still the maximum a console could display anyway until very recently with the XBSX/S.

Dash Engine is the framework this project was built on top of, 'Engine' is just part of the name, probably chosen since other projects were using this naming scheme, and the average person getting into this stuff is not familiar with what framework means. The boost shape and form are 1:1 and I think the warp thing when you start boosting can be toned down a bit, the camera pov is actually very acturate, and same with the shaders and bloom, the jump ball is 1:1 as well. Very faithful to the original game concepts.

They are not because Unreal Engine physics is tied to framerate, and it require some advanced modifications, so you will have a 60 FPS mode and a 144 FPS mode

really cool to see the new changes and stuff, makes the game feel more polished overall. One thing i dunno if its in this build or not fo the game is the "square" homing reticle that was on the early vids of Unleashed specially in the Spagonia trailer you can see this reticle being used, i assume the team made it round so it could look weird and confusing but they reused this for the E - Rocket launcher robots, just instead of being green its red/orange, so i think if you just grab the targeting reticle of this robots and change it to green it could look identical to what the homing reticle used to be in early videos of Unleashed.

probably the most polished translation of sonic unleashed to pc yet, every facet of this is 100% authentic to the console game, the subleties of the free running camera have absolutely been nailed down and i'm guessing footstep sounds are gonna be added later - not sure sure if the screen shakes when you homing attack an aerial enemy, though

WHY IS THIS SO ACCURATE WTF???? Okay, so I watched the whole video. I have got just 1 complaint, which is that the camera is too close to Sonic, it makes me uncomfortable. This is so close to actual unleashed, this will make me tear up no joke 🤧🤧🤧 Sonic unleashed day time stages felt so distinguished from the upcoming games and is like such a beautiful game It may have it's hiccups but it still feels so polished in comparison of like generations, it's all about the feel of it, it totally is the adventure-generations mixup that came before generations and I love it for what it is. And this is so close to getting this on pc and having it out there, thank you guys for working so hard on the recreation of sonic unleashed, I can tell the team behind this loves the game as much as me and many more members of the community, it's a beautiful sight to behold that people with the talent and will to remake this game are working so hard. I can't thank you all enough I don't think I have to say this but there are some things that still don't feel as faithful to the original game like the lightspeed dash or the extra life icon or the jump, but I know you guys are also fixing many of the flaws on the controls that the original game needed, like the drift, wall jump, the functionality of the lightspeed dash and of course the homing attack. I believe you guys will surely do a fantastic job recreating and improving from the original source material.
