We don’t need another city level like Westopolis I prefer more visual variety so them picking the circus level or spooky level or virtual reality level from shadow would be amazing.

A lot of people seem to forget that the bosses aren't tied in with the levels in Generations. I mean, Classic Sonic, throughout all of his 3 stages only got 1 boss fight and 1 rival fight. So even tho Shadow still got supposedly 3 for rival fights and boss fights each, they're not tied to the stage at all. We literally had special gates fight them, it's not something that's transitioned with a cutscene.

I wish we had levels inspired by Secret Rings and Black Knight. Shadow wasn’t necessarily in Secret Rings although he was in the multiplayer mode, but he had a variant of himself in Black Knight in the form of Sir Lancelot. It would’ve been awesome to see Shadow fight Erazor Djinn and King Arthur or Merlina, or heck, maybe even a Sir Lancelot rival battle. We might get a chance if they do that for potential DLC in the future but I’m not getting my hopes up.

My problem with the possibility of a Supreme fight is that many players will think that base Shadow is stronger than Super Sonic 2, not realizing or remembering that Sonic had to hold back because going all out would result in losing the new power. When he did go all out, Supreme and The End didn't stand a chance, but the power did leave him immediately afterwards. Base Shadow wouldn't stand a chance, but there are stubborn idiots who will refuse to change their stance despite all of the evidence stacked against them.

15:40 on the topic of who's stronger, if shadow does actually fight one of the titans from frontiers, he's definitely confirmed stronger than sonic. Especially if he fights supreme. Sonic needed to go super to fight with the titans, base form wasn't an option. Super sonic 2 and all the other things sonic does in frontiers was temporary, he got a boost from the cyber corruption which allowed him to do those things in the first place. He lost the cyber corruption so he can't do super sonic 2 anymore nor any of the other stuff his does in that game.

Honestly, it’s tough to say who is more powerful between Sonic and Shadow. There can be an argument for either one. But here’s how I see it…. Sonic has more hidden potential than Shadow, while Shadow has greater control of chaos energy. Now Shadow being able to tap into his black arms genetics might give him a power boost, but what’s to say the cyber corruption didn’t give sonic a potential permanent boost? Personally, I think if both were to reach their absolute maximum potentials… it pains me to say this, but I think Sonic probably comes out on top.

I think that Sonic’s gonna be the last boss. Not like the scale of a final boss but the way it’ll go is Shadow’s then gonna get to Sonic’s white space. Essentially freeing him. Like it’s kind of like SA1, SA2, Heroes & 06 with the fights against each other where whoever wins is dependent on which story you do. There should only be 7 levels/zones since Iizuka stated Shadow Gens won't have as many levels as Sonic Gens. Simply put, Sonic's had way more history than Shadow (another reason why they had to add Frontiers in the mix). But I think that's a solid number (also I corrected myself in the video. Westopolis will be in the game making that 7 levels. And if you include the Sonic Movie 3 DLC level, that's 8)

Personally, I kind of like Sunset Heights and Chaos Island being future levels while the story of SXS Generations still takes place right after Colors. It gives them sort of a foreshadowing vibe (absolutely no pun intended) and its fun to think of them as original levels. I know its far too late for any of that, but I mean Generations takes place before IDW and surely this game will take place after IDW, right? Also, it will be great to see bosses that sucked like Infinite and Supreme given new life.

a lot of people misunderstand sonic generations and now this games boss fights. Sonic being able to defeat perfect chaos in base form isn’t evidence he got stronger than his old super form, it just means he knows the boost now, so now he doesn’t need to rely on the super form to run on water. I don’t think the characters are getting stronger they just learn new moves and techniques. Metal overlord shadow fight makes sense in base form with the doom surf cuz OG heroes boss was them flying cuz their base forms couldn’t fly.

Even if Sonic Team themselves says “sonic got stronger” I disagree. Adventure and Classic Sonic didn’t have the boost, the boost is pretty much a ball of fire and a rocket just like the super form so it makes sense. Sonic getting stronger would be like if certain enemies no longer can hurt him or take his rings away.

Sonic always took itself a bit more seriously before the 2010s. It’s way more fitting for Sonic. And why not let children have more serious stories. That’s all there was growing up in the early 2000s and it made me appreciate a lot more at a younger age.
