How do you manage to hit that dash ring at the beginning of the level? I've never had any luck reaching it no matter when I jump or boost.

something i find really cool about chaos island in this game is that it does actually have spectacle like for example, city escape has the gun truck, rail canyon has the trains, ark has the giant missiles, yknow? like its a staple for generations to give new spectacle to old stages, like giving it a sort of twist, chaos island has it but its way more subtle chaos island's spectacle to me is the fact you're traveling across the entire island, into the caves, above lava, up the volcano that erupted in front of shadow, and onto the giant tower that was in frontiers, that shit is so cool to me

Really my first reaction to this stage was bad too but when I started practicing it and learned a good route it became my favorite stage. Good length and so many tricks to save time.

I wish Frontiers was more like this. I didn't really enjoy the island exploration much. Given how it was in an unfinished state originally and needed multiple updates, I reckon the game was just a test for the Hedgehog Engine 2 they made.

This satge kindof reminds me of the sonic colors stage in generations. Relys on to much of the doom gimmick like how planet wisp relyed to much on the spikes. Still overall pretty fun

This level and this new doom ability of shadow’s make me want to play in traffic. Maybe Eggman himself was behind the mechanics on this level since even though you touch the hint orb it literally doesn’t tell you how to go ascend with said ability. Annoying. Beyond annoying. It’s like I paid to have the Sonic 06 experience all over again with the only change being improved graphics.
