What do you mean by "Sega brought back the Sonic franchise after all these years"? Sonic has always had good games, even today. Of course, not all of them can maintain the quality standard, but that doesn’t mean they are necessarily completely bad. Sonic Frontiers, Superstars and Dream Team are examples of good Sonic games currently released.

as a guy who finished the game , this is my absolute favorite sonic game of all time , the level design is fantastic the open world is the best it could ever be even if its small , the skips and the branching paths and the doom powers make for endless opportunities to shorten your run and it doesnt even feel broken , the story is quite good although i wished it had more cutscenes the bosses were incredible this is the perfect sonic game , the only problems i had with it is litteraly that i wanted more since it was really short story and gameplay wise

Honestly THIS LOOKS LIKE FUN!!!!!!! Knuckles got shafted this year. Next year is when knuckles chaotix reached its 30th year so I hope we get something(Another story DLC but I'm too optimistic) but we are not here for knuckles we are here for the KING!!! Shadow generations is the same length as sonic generations

Super Sonic is in the base game of Generations - both Sonics can turn Super mid-level after beating the game once, and the finale uses both Super Sonics. Shadow doesn't get Super Shadow, but does get Doom Wing. Functionally, it's just like Super Shadow: it's a powerup that you need 50 wings to activate, it makes you invincible, and drains your rings. The bonus feature is that it allows you to fly as long as you have Boost. Shadow uses Doom Wing for the final level and the final boss, and after beating the game, you can use it on any level including the hub world. As for postgame content, that's where these games shine. Collectibles are everywhere, bonus routes and S-ranks are discoverable, and a multitude of extra missions are also available that take you through different, smaller sections of each level to complete tasks. In Sonic Generations' case, some of those missions even involve cameos from the extended Sonic cast, wherein you either use their particular abilities to clear a level or fight them in smaller scenarios. For Shadow Generations, you unlock a Doom Fall mode, where every level and boss gets additional added layers of difficulty with their own S-ranks to unlock. The hubworld is also scattered with unlockables to discover.

I really like the Shadow Generations gameplay's graphic and animation that look even as good as Sonic Forces, Sonic Superstars, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the Modern Sonic 3D non-gameplay CGI cutscenes, some of the 3D Super Mario games, and/or the Kingdom Hearts III game's graphic and animation!, if even Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is made by only both SEGA and Sonic Team and not also by Nintendo. But why are the Sonic's birthday party cutscenes' graphic and animation from Shadow Generations still look like the same graphic and animation quality as Sonic Generations' graphic and animation?

because the new one is literally just an upgraded version of that. the hedgehog engine was used for unleashed, colours, generations, lost world and forces. the updated hedgehog engine 2 was used for frontiers and shadow generations.

The best part of Generations remake(s) are represented by 2.5D levels. It's sad to see a whole 3d environment limited to a straight line in most of the cases, which was a huge limitation in most of modern Sonic games. Probably the truth is in the middle of Sonic Frontier style and Sonic Adventure games. We'll see.
